Still in D4? So disappointing.

For some reason I'm actually enjoying being a playoff team without spending much over the salary floor. Still not sure what I'm going to do with my mediocre trainees, though.

Is there anybody out there?

It's my first season in Utopia, so I'm kinda behind most of other teams in terms of arena, roster - but doing my best to catch up with you guys.

Oh, I forgot how expensive the arena is to build... How you manage to get 14k merchandise (on avarage) U21 players, homegrown? My youngsters can get to U21, but in 3 years time...

Regards and have fun!

Welcome! No, nobody is here. ;)

Luckily I'm not taking Utopia too seriously. I'm sort of slow-training a bunch of middle potential guys but not really doing anything all that effective as yet. I just wanted to play around with a different type of player than I have on my primary team and so I've just been aiming to do as good as I can and still make a lot of money, and someday promote high enough to have an arena with more lower tier seats than bleachers.

If you keep your players for a few seasons you should get the merchandise up with team success. I'm only at 15k merchandise myself, but my salaries are low. The main things are that if you keep your player salaries down and still be competitive, you'll be making more money than you can reasonably do anything with for a while. Of course, the more common thing to do is take that money and buy better players, but that's not as much fun. ;)

Good luck the rest of the season, except next Tuesday. ;)

I am ready and waiting for Tuesday :).

For the time being I am surprised with my lack of luck in cup draws and even more surprised with how far I've managed to fight there.

Merchandise is slowly growing (for a 51k salary team), the results are ok in terms of quality/price.

I never had a player over 34 - I am surprised with how fast their skills drop - I got already 4 drops for my 35 years old PG...:/ I've expected something like 5-6 drops per season..

Nevertheless with a bunch of 18-19 year old players I should be more competitive while the season will progress.

Let there be no injuries on Tuesday!:)

Well, there was a scare with Santos getting injured but it looks like he's healthy after the match so that's a good thing. I didn't watch much of it but I saw your team went on a 22-5 streak to turn a game that looked like a blowout into one that was really close until the last minute foul parade (and my Utopia team, unlike my primary, is not as good at FT shooting as I'd like).

Skill drops are not fun. My primary team I had a 33 year old guard that I've had since he was 18 drop one level in JS the first week and then two levels in OD the second week. I'm going to be facing a lot of that soon, too, since I've got a couple more 33 year olds and most of my original trainees are getting close to that age now. Here, on the other hand, nobody I care about is close to 33 so while they're not that good, they won't be getting worse at least.

Good luck the rest of the season!

When training young guys FT are always something to be trained "the next week" as there is always an incentive to train other skills before a player gets old. In my primary team I've had 33 and one 34 years old guy and there had always been 2-3 drops per season, so either you were unlucky with your guard or I was lucky with my players. My first draftee just turned 33:)...

I've seen that you are cruising to the NBBA, good luck!

I was probably unlucky with the guard, but to be fair, I've called him some mean things in my press announcements so I am not at all surprised he lived down to my expectations. ;) But, yeah, I had trained very little FT (maybe once/twice per season) until I was pretty much done with primary training, and spent probably close to two seasons on exclusively FT with some breaks for GS.

Hopefully I do make the NBBA. Should have last year, got blindsided with a home loss in the Finals after a player got two quick flagrant fouls in the same minute, in a game that seriously made me consider quitting the game for some time. I was lucky to have been 22-0, though, so when the luck doesn't go my way I suppose that's just things evening out.

Insane.

I am playing GayaSun.
Wages 51k on my side, Gaya 166k
Gaya is having HCA and still is trying harder than me.

What have I done to deserve this?

I'd consider it a sign of respect I guess, and I say that because of all the times I've played GayaSun, they've put in a normal on almost every occasion (one Playoff Normal, one POCT). I think I've only used a regular normal once on them.

Second Team:
Atlantis Tigers
GayaSun have only 2 players.
I'm very unhappy, because this night GayaSun do forfeit.
The training is over for 2 players.
I don't understand but it's good for you.

That is very annoying. I know that the team has made enough money on transfers that they can probably buy a very good team and beat us all very easily, so I've kind of not even paid attention to what they do any more.
