boss- Wouldn't the playing 48 minutes apply to big men as well? A lot of big men who play 48 mins dont seem to be so affected. Therefore stamina wouldn't explain the poor season stats of PGs in this game throughout all leagues.

This one is just a random example. Its evident that most PGs in this game average way less than 7 APG and 40% shooting. Decent big men average >15 RPG and >55% shooting. Although they don't seem to score as many points. Anyway thats another matter.

This particular example shows that even guards who play against weak defences can't seem to hit shots on a regular basis. I've seen multiple examples of this. The reason is probably that the outside defence in this game is too heavily weighted. Probably.

But I feel now like I'm arguing with creationists about the existence of god. So I'll just stop.

Isn't it more the way TIE is used to create artificialLy high levels of enthuism (and thus OD) Be interesting to check the first three games of each season vs the others.

You think its right that enthusiasm only picks up ODs and not other attributes? I'm not even sure that's how it is, it probably raises all aspects of your players' game. Even if enthusiasm plays a role in favoring defence over offence its more managers in the top leagues who use it all the time. I don't think lower league managers who are still figuring out the game are that widely aware of the benefit of using TIE all the time.

using TIE all the time.

Not all the time, just in certain games.
And i think enthusiasm picks up the defence a lot but the other attributes too but not that much.

Personally I'd trust the team ratings on this.

exceptionally ;) and yes i forgot the rebounding but are you sure that the other attributes are not affected at all?

hi all, i have my own 100K PG, and i tried to put him into many different offensive tatic to see what he can do.

I think
1. assist is only the byproduct of the receiver scoring on the play. Althought 20 assist looks great, it really depends on the receiver converting the basket and only if the receiver not driving on his own later.
2. some tactic favor the pg holding the ball, like LI & PTB that makes it more likely for assist. while basic tatic have the pg set up the ball on the wing and go from there, which makes no assist.
3. good PG skills allow the player to hold on to be ball longer without TO. Once i have my super PG my TO/gm drop from 12-18 to 4-12. if u think super C, can get u 8 OR, my PG safe 8 poessions on his own.
4. good PG control tempo. if u play high tempo offence, u know there is something wrong when it took u over 20s to shoot.
5. some thought DR is used to create better scoring chance, but high DR doesn't seems to make high% shooter. DR for me is more like breaking down ur own man, but finishing the basket still require IS,JS. So high DR PG combine with PG favor tatic (or opponet match up not enough defense) will create many FGA for the PG.

Very nice observation, something I can check while watching the game. What are the possible problems you see when the ball is held too long in an uptempo offense ?

Driving has different effects on the player, but yes it normally helps the player to improve his % and also for me the best thing it allows that player to create himself a lot of shoot attempts. I know different PG-SG or PF that with high dirving they normally try 20 shoot attempts x match even if they play from outside or inside and its a good bonus to your offensive attack, but anyway i would say its more important driving on a SG than a PG.(even if i consider that the higher driving the PG has, the most times he will shoot or pass the ball)
