Wage breaks aren't coming any time soon, however, I would say, not with the current boom in the economy.

are u sure about it. i think after the next salary update we will have the first players earning more than 100k salary. After the second update, I guess we will have Centers earning more than 150k, I believe.

then we will have teams, I guess, paying more than 500k only for player salaries

are the soft caps for allstar potential likely to take us up to these levels??

I would hope MVPs can get there but even the best MVP must be triple prominent at absolute best.....

100k = what?
triple wondrous on RB/ID/IS ?

I have an answer to the main thrust of the thread.

Currently, NT injuries do not last more than the current game, due to the fact that there are no wage breaks.

When wage breaks are implemented, multi-game injuries in NT games will be implemented with it.

Wage breaks aren't coming any time soon, however, I would say, not with the current boom in the economy.

All right, given this information, and the timeframe of any future change, the rules (/BBWeb/rules.aspx?nav=NationalTeams) need to be updated to not say this:

Having your player on a national team will not affect his player ratings or weekly minutes in any way. However, he will be susceptible to injury, and you will not be able to fire him.

Should I just open a bug ticket?

how about instead of money returning to team players can there be a reward with regards to enthusiasm of the player playing for the national team

he got pride and playing for the national is being with the best so he also is getting good feel about himself :D

i know that enthusiasm is for team but how about just for national players

I don't think we'll see individual enthusiasm anytime soon under that name.

That's pretty much what Game Shape covers.

It's a difficult topic: there is something to say for both major points of view. Heck, there could be even 3 or 4 major points of view if we tried. But for now there are 2: no benefits and the total package of benefits and risks.

Let me start by saying this: It somehow just doesn't feel right to let your best players play for the glory of their country without getting anything in return (just a little xp at the most), or even having a say about it... The reward should be the full package: Xp, training minutes, a salary refund, the choise to refuse your player to play for the NT AND the risk of injuries.

Or does it? All of these benefits sound nice if you are training 1 guy for your own NT somewhere in division II or III and can barely pay his salary, but who are going to benefit from this package the most? Right: the people owning multiple NT players, and there is a tournament with simular benefits set up just for them: B3! Don't get me wrong: they deserve it, because they ARE BuzzerBeater's Best (and richest) but is it fair to give them even more? And even worse: as they are earning more and more money they will be able to pay the ridiculous prices asked for NT players and the same prices (and high salaries) will tempt more lower division NT player owners to sell theirs...

On the other hand, can a NT coach expect a team owner to keep training his star NT player to extreme levels on the mayor skills, and give nothing in return exept bragging rights? Salaries are sky rocketing (although I don't believe we will be seeing 150k salaries in the near future) and they will back fire on the transfer prices (already/soon?). So what's the use to keep training them for the NT?

I guess we will just have to do with the system as it is right now: in a couple of seasons todays trainable NT stars will have become 25yo untrainable NT powerhouses who mostly will be owned by the top teams in BuzzerBeater, taking away the need to finacially compensate their owners (being the best doesn't come for free!!) for letting them play in the NT as long as those games won't have a negative effect (injuries and so) together with a (if any) slight effect on the experience of the player... But that's just my opinion :)

Training minutes for NT players in NT games, that would be terrible!

Would be fun though to see how B3 teams with 80% NT players would manage the minutes!

Would be fun if the NT coach could take part in the managing of minutes of those players as well.

It's good to know that even the BB' feels it's unfair to let NT players get injured without having something to compensate the risk. :)

well said,

its all risk . .. . . no reward.

now you know how true managers and owners feel in the nba about their high paid players play for the national team.

remember gasol going down playing for his country and almost cost him a season of play thats almost a whole season salary for nothing. imagine AK getting injured also and the jazz were abrupt with his recovery that they have to know the status as always ( irks people i know )

as someone could have read mark cuban comments on players playing for their national team, because some players have to get paid first just so they decided to play.
