I lived for three months in Vilnius and fell in love of that country, so I'm glad you made them world champions. Hope we can play against each other in the EuroBBasket final next season.

FINAL OF WORLD CUP: Poland - Lithuania 71-94 (46989)

YES! YES! YES! We are the CHAMPIONS!!! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04854XqcfCY)...and probably no.1 in the world soon. It's first gold medal on WC for Lithuania and for me too. Thanks for everybody who helped me! It's a success of all.

When I started to be coach of Lithuania NT I told you that the most important is to be in among of the best, and then medals will come. Lithuania has been in among of top teams since I started to be a coach. My first two seasons with Lithuania NT were also very good, but I hadn't enough luck to get a medal. Next two seasons are very successfull - silver medal on Europen Championships and gold medal on World Cup.

We didn't start this championship well. We lost with Bosnia in first game and then probably most of you doubted...but after that we won everything (some of the games was incredible) and we are the champions now. Amazing story!:-)

I can't leave Lithuania after such a great successes:-) We made together really great team and I hope will be able to bring next trophies for Lithuania... if you will chose me again

By the way: Will you able to maintain quality of your NT? A few of yours the best players will lose skills in next season. Do you have high quality successors?

I don't doubt. I'm just curious because it's always difficult to replace such a great and experienced players like Carreras, Xuvino or Suarez. Anyway, It look like it will be big challenge to win with you and your home court advantage.
