The bunnies look to solidify their 3rd place spot while the jammers are desperately trying to round up enough wins to GRT out of the cellar.

Deronimo needs every win they can muster to hang into fourth while stormz can move one step closer to clinching this side of the ledger

A critical contest at the coliseum for both the Generals and Petersburg as the Victor could find themselves back in the playoff picture while the loser could be staring at the prospect of dealing with a tough relegation battle

And the dogs will get a free lap against the nation.

Announcer: a happy and prosperous New year to you all. As the season quickly comes to it's conclusion much is already cast in stone. Yet the fates of many are still to be determined.

The generals are sitting in limbo, stuck between being on the cusp of the playoff picture and out and out looking down the barrel of relegation. The jammers on the other hand have quickly stepped up their game and can potentially see finding a way to stay around when previously that looked impossible. League officials need to find out if by chance they would automatically leapfrog the dismantled nation to earn a shot at the second chance sweepstakes. Though if they keep winning like it would be a moot point.

Petersburg gets a free lap tonight against the nation.

Deronimo has a stout challenge coming at home against the bunnies, and even still will probably drop back to the relegation zone.

And at the top of the table the surging dogs will try to steal the top spot from stormz.

The stones will look to capitalize on the momentum from a win over Masters while the blasters will seek to secure the six position outright.

The mavs host two in a battle which will have home court ramifications for what will be a rematch in two weeks time.

The kitties need a road win over Masters to clinch their trip to the playoffs.

And the chefs will keep cruising along with a trip to the already packing barricade.

I can't believe Webb is gone. No fan fare just shipped off like a thief in the night. He deserves better.

Your right...he and Armstead deserved the coronation afforded McLean and Skinner. But both guys should have been future endeavored several seasons when they had some tread left on the tires. Webb in particular had become feeble, and well being 0-6 for the seasons in games decided by six or less can lead to some irrational acts. Taylor and Strong are OK as filler but both present some liability, alas though it appears their market value is nominal, or at least far under projections.

The problem is this, even with the upgrades to personal staying afloat is a dicey proposition. Not that it did much good this evening. Then again we are locked in and might as well buckle up for the challenge the blasters represent. In many ways it's not been a terrible season, nice cup run, first win over a NBBA team, getting the Japan u21 gig, all feathers in the cap. In the league however it has been a struggle. If relegation does occur it will mean a complete rebuild is going to be in order, but we like this neighborhood so if we go it will be kicking and screaming.

Does jammers automatically get nation's slot in the relegation derby or do they have to win out?
