Orders are in for G2, good luck Jay.

If I had Naharro available, I'd be confident of forcing a G3, and if I had gone POCT tonight I'd still be favourite for this game. However, gotta go with the strat that gives me the best chance at overall league win, and that's PON (fully expecting you to do the same btw).

With that in mind, given HCA plus extra enth for me, but no Naharro, this game is somewhere in the realm of 50-50, if slightly one way then not by much, it shouldn't be a blowout. Hoping can force G3 and Naharro is back in time for it.

P.S. you're still a long long way off being relevant in B3. Have you SEEN Goldson's roster?!?! Even Lagaia and Duffield don't hold a candle to those players.

Scores level at HT. Should be a fun one, I think my players are underperforming right now compared to what they're capable of, and you've got more depth and will be fitter come the end of Q4. Hoping I can continue some momentum gained in a better Q2 for me and have a lead at 3QT, because don't want to be in a very tight ending (although maybe experience plays a factor in my favour? I never know how much to make of it).

I'm surprised Goldsons kept that roster intact for 2 seasons, 1.4 million in salaries is ridiculous even with the national team merchandise 'rebate'. No surprise that they're selling after back to back titles then, which means there's at least a chance the next B3 favourite won't be quite as unbeatable as that. Still quite a bit of work for me to do training wise, especially if I can't make money anymore.

Wow!

After high scoring start to Q3, my boys went into such a hard lockdown that we're starting to field enquiries from health authorities in multiple states.

Restricted YSD to just 2 points in the last 6+ minutes.

They're gonna be ticked and come out hard in Q4 I feel. Weather the storm, and G3 is on the cards. Luck could still play a huge part in this series.

The thing is, they won't have a roster that good again ... But someone will. The B3 champ is always nearly that good.

This season I went 7-1, then got comfortably beaten by a team that then lost to a team that then comfortably lost to Goldsons.

B3 top players are insane. We're talking multiple 150+ TSP's, sometimes across all 5 positions. There's even multiple 160+ players that exist nowadays that never did in the past.

Twas a good win, worthy series to go to a G3.

When Omu scored on the alley-oop with 2:00 remaining to put me up 83-68, I literally said to myself out loud "it's okay to foul out Omu, you've done your job."

The very next line:

1:46 Foul called on Dennis Omu.

:D

Good luck in G3 Jay.

I knew that, aging problems aside, I'm still dealing with the back-to-back ABBL champions and battlers tournament champions here. Trying to 26-0 the season would've been a horrible idea. And so far MP5 has done almost everything right tactically so I've got a lot to think about over the next 22 hours.

Excellent game so far. Are HBG's guesses good enough or will YSD's brute strength bully through?

Darn, I did not play my hand well at all, was tossing up between what I did and just going inside again, but thought that HBG would hedge their bets on an inside call + 3-2 zone and switch up their own LI tactic if I dared GDP myself. MP5 has fair reason to feel robbed by this result.

Congrats Jay, well earned and deserved title.

I don't actually feel robbed at all, the only thing I have to feel a little upset about was the injury to Naharro which I think has proved the difference. Aging has been much more harsh to Simbajon (as I'm sure you'll see when I drop him on the TL shortly) than Naharro, throw in a player with more OD, more ID, and about twice as much IS, and it could have gone my way.

But that's BB, luck as I said in my last post plays a massive part. I honestly think I was lucky to beat Bryce twice in two years both times away from home, probably a 1-1 result was more fair, for me to go 2-0 was maybe 15-30% chance at best. This season, injuries and fouls didn't go my way, I played it tactically as well as I could (though seriously, I'm surprised Jay didn't GDP me inside, I was only ever tossing up between LI and LP).

Thanks for a great season and congrats again, good luck next year to everyone.
