Yeah I realised as I was writing it that it was getting longer and longer lol. I'll try and cut it down over the next week or so as more people give their thoughts. I like your idea of keeping things short and simple.

I guess this is why it is called FAQ attempt 1 :) lol

Ya Virus I for one wanted to add my voice into the THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS group. This took some work and some experience and is very appreciated. Now when my wife asks me a question I dont have to search for the answer I can just point her here.

Naker, I think you should incorporate Devil Advocate's guide in a way that his is the first section and what you wrote at the start of the thread is the second section.

His material is aimed at people who've just signed up: what do I do with my initial roster, how long is the season, stuff like that. Your material is more targeted for intermediate users: how do I train effectively, how do I get the most out of my arena, etc. If you merged them in this fashion it would make a pretty comprehensive guide. Just a suggestion.

I like everything thats written by you and RiP88. Mine was just an contrary opinion and should be kept seperately from the cast iron facts. I'll gladly help with more 'Case Studies' which I guess would be more appropriate for mentoring and yes there should be heavy disclaimers attached to anything I write!!! KUTGW

Hey,
I understand what you mean, and I'll consider it, but my only objection is that it takes away the point of an FAQ. I guess I consider an FAQ something that can quickly be referenced for a particular question without having to look through a guide etc as well. But I'll think about it and see what others want and then work on it.
Thanks,
Virus

Nice work! Your post is now being linked everywhere. As a mentor I send my buddies to read your post first; since many starter questions can be found in here. I also thought about making one; but there is always a difference in doing and thinking. So thank you.

yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present."

Wow! What an amazing an informative post! (And all the supporting posts!)
I've just spent the last half hour reading through it, and even though I've been playing for a month now (and lurking in the forums reading as much as I can) I still learnt heaps and heaps of useful info!

Thank you so much mate, this was a much needed post!
I've copied and pasted it into my own document just in case this thread ever goes missing!

Thanks again bud!
