That already happens, and current policy would apply, that GMs decisions are not to be discussed, hence you can just ignore those cheaters.

we have senior gm who handle it, who would be happy to hear that everybody comes with punishment other people who looks similiar on the first view. And i am quite sure that that will be happen, and people will feel threated unfair, because he can not show the reason why it was cheaper there then here ;)

4 and player try to act in a grey area where the risk is maybe more valuable then the punishment

not sure i follow that point, can you please elaborate further?? thanks

You see what punishment you get for doing X, you also know that you don't get anybody - so maybe you would thing the risk is worth it, and do it.

which will lead to unsatisfied players, who think that the gm make random/unfair decisions even when they don't know all the fact. and also ignoring them is work, deleting threads, new tickets etc.

Yes, I agree that Pillory more relevant in those games, and more direct impact in those "live" games, but surely if you present more information that leads to less misunderstandings, its normally the other way round, less knowledge, secrecy and lack of information that leads to misunderstandings.

this will lead to much more missunderstanding, i am quite sure because only full information(which cann't be released will give a clear view) so the pillory just give room for suspicions.

People complain now, and chase the GMs all the time, cause there is no entry whatsoever, so the only way to find out is by contacting GMs all the time. While with Pillory you can refer them to the list/entry and make life easier for you guys.

but they have less reason too discuss it ;) And to say here is the pillory is as much work then send out an warning, especially when you had to say that must be on page 23 of it ;)

@ GM-Perpete : a few days ago , a friend got a transfer price correction, 1 and a half month after the initial transfer. the player was transferred again after 3-4 weeks. 1 and a half month ... obviously some cases get longer to check. again i have to repeat that we are not complaining of the GMs' work. we simply suggest to add a feature in the game, nothing more nothing less..

Although not directed at me, how do you think will a pillory increase the reaction time of the GMs?

that was an answer given as a response to this comment :
There is no investigations lasting for months.

dont try to twist things...Nobody implied a pillory would increase the reaction time of the GMs, we are only asking from the BB, to announce these teams that are cheating and for whom we have been asked to assist in finding them by reporting them...

Ok, my bad - I didnt realize you were referring to this point. However, why is it important how fast a case is solved? The most important fact it that it was solved anyway - I guess its not fair to demand higher reaction time from volontary workers.

My fines were always extremely fast (but I guess thats because I am on some peoples "radars" - greetings to Western Europe and North America!) and in the two cases I reported there was nothing done about it but at least in one case I got an answer within a few days.

did he reported himself, or maybe someone reported the case just late? Maybe after seeing the differences in the prices etc.?

i dont think its matter of satisfying our curiosity....

its just the second part of a simple process the game itself has...

(first part) Report a cheater-(second part) issue a fine (where is needed)

since a user is using his time to report something he considers not right...i think he deserves an answer...

for instance: thank you for the report, the team has been penalised
or
thank you for your report everything was done acccording to the BB rules

But this WILL take time...and i know you GMs arent getting paid...

A list would be a simplified way of giving some feedback to those who bother making a report...

unless you think its all about curiosity and people who write a report deserve to stay in the dark....
(i dont think people would appreciate this...)

Why do people feel the need for this? Why do you need to see this information?

I've reported people before and seen them banned by going bot 7-8 weeks after. Why do you need to see the results of your report? Just report and leave it.

Again, why do you need to see this information? So you can bully those who cheated but did not get banned so they quit the game? Is that why? Otherwise what business is it to you to see this information? What use is it to you?

There are thousands of crimes committed every day, I don't see a newspaper filled with reports on all those thousands of crimes. Only the serious ones.

Leave it be. We do not need to see this information, nor will I bother looking at it even if it is made available because it is just not my business.

The newspaper isn't filled with reports, but all trials (criminal and civil) are available to the public. Now I suppose you could make the argument that the court reports shouldn't be available to the public for similar reasons to what you gave above, but that isn't the way it should be. The public should be able to see what people did wrong and what the punishment was in real life, and I think it would be good to have a similar thing here.

1. It will make people realise that people get caught for cheating and could be a preventative measure.

2. It will make people realise that their reports do come to fruition and so will report more.

3. It would be fun to see :P

That's ridiculous.

When you eventually decide to settle down and buy a house Naker, don't forget to ask the local court for a list of all offenders in the suburb you'd like to live in to ensure you don't live on the same street as a criminal.

I'm sure if you were charged with drunken disorderly behavior and it went on your record you wouldn't want your future employer to know :P

Do you not think that bullying is a problem? Bullying over the internet is getting more and more problematic, you think this would help?

If you report a crime or theft to a local police station, they basically say "leave it with us". You can't go back in months later asking if they did anything, that's classified.

There are pros to this suggestion, many in fact. But the cons far outweigh the pros in significance, even though there are less of them.
