Lol, one I will probably lose so the drop will continue.

LOL, nope, win or lose you'll move up in the rankings after that game as long as neither of you punts. BB...Where stupid happens!

Ha! I'm glad you're fighting a similar battle. Keeping these old guys in shape has been a challenge!

I did my research and turns out that one team was you with 1200! Unfortunately PD doesn't necessarily = a Championship

I was excited 2 Friday's ago, because for the first time in recent memory I didn't have a single rating drop...but this past Friday made up for that with 3 players dropping...and two of the ratings were the dreaded double drop. At least we are all in the same boat I guess (except for Silver Dogs) :-)

i only notice personnel changes when i am scouting the team, so i've only recently become aware of what an amazing player Truman Robertson must be.

He is listed as a SF, so that means by definition he must be approximately balanced. but his salary is $180,000, which means his skill levels must be stupendous, sort of speak. He shoots at a very high percentage, very good Assist: Turnover ratio, rarely fouls, rebounds well, and can shoot a 3. with his stratospheric game ratings, his defense, both inside and outside, must be very good. given all that, his most impressive stat is his salary -- i've never seen an SF at that level.

i can't wait to see my hackers go after him -- with any luck, he'll take a hard foul in the first minute or so, leave the game, and not return for four weeks. not that i am wishing him ill or anything.

Not to take anything away from Robertson because he's great but Farnsworth has him beat on that front (29562906)

Danny Rogers came up 4 points short of setting a new NBBA single-game scoring record.

I put a 3rd-string center at SF for training and you put a $200k PF at SF and ran patient. Then the center fouled out and a 5k kid subbed in. Perfect Storm. I thought for a while he might beat me.

i looked up Xermade's record game (46052878), and he achieved his record under almost precisely the same conditions (an overmatched PG who fouled out after 15 minutes, followed by weaker players or players out of position; he scored 78 of his team's 87 points).

fwiw, Xermade is still active. he says the NBBA today is but a shadow of when he was a star, and that today's best teams would be drubbed by those he played on. he also said he remembered his record-setting game as scoring "97 points against some really tough defenders" and had to be shown the box score when told he scored "only" 78. he called D. Rogers "a big wuss".

Now while 78 and 75 is impressive, both of those games had teams that were punting them (man I hate teams that do that). The NBBA record I think BB should acknowledge is some guy named Lorenzo Wuidar who scored 71 a couple seasons ago in a meaningful game.
