I was guessing you'd throw the game, I just played down to the competition a little too well... I wasn't exactly rolling out my best center options! Not my best back court rotation, too. I'm planning to shift my lineups a lot this season for training, but also to experiment a bit with different lineup combinations. Sorry about your trainee, just be happy he fouled out and didn't get injured. One of my guards once had a five-week injury the week after I spent a lot of money on him as a great trainee. I lost half a season of training! He's still on my roster, but he wouldn't be merely a talented backup if he had an extra five weeks of training back then...

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!

Heh, I'm not actually disappointed. I had a gut feeling that he would foul out while I was setting the roster. I'll just give him backup minutes in the cup game. The joy of having a bot opponent.
5-week injury to an expensive trainee? That must have been a rage-inducing moment...

Yep, I dropped 600k in Zingale, and then lost him for five freakin weeks. That set off a chain reaction that might explain why I'm still in this league. First, I had to scramble to pick up another guard and overpaid for a player that wasn't what I really wanted but was the best available for what I could spend (I did just spend 600k...). That hurt me financially and I was then unable to upgrade my roster as I typically can when I have a financial cushion. I only got back to spending normally about last season after shaking all that out, but I need to carry players like Wilson since Zingale never turned into the great guard I was projecting when I bought him, so I guess I'm still not fully over that injury.

I spent 500k on a great pg18 year old prospect. By the time he was 21 he had spent 11 weeks injured. By the time he got to 23 he was up to 14 weeks injured and I gave in to the fact he was never going to be what he should have been. I sold him off so he didn't jinx the rest of my trainees and so I could start over with someone new. I later sold that trainee to make a run at a. D2 title that was cut short by injuries just before the playoffs. The Jinx was in effect. After I had exhausted my resources making that run I tanked the next season, bought a couple more trainees, and ended up here with you. I know what you mean.
