I should probably make users more aware, that the program will work with new countries.

countryinfo.txt - that's the information for the user, it only tells you how many divisions you can search for in each country (might be out of date), also there are IDs of countries if you want to select countries through the right click -> context menu.

countries.txt - this is what program actually reads, the number of each line (minus 1 to adjust for the All button) corresponds to the ID of the country, so if there's new country in BB, you add it at the end of file. The name doesn't matter (it's only for you), as long as it's not empty.

Sorry, somehow missed your post. If Wine is not an option, then you can either emulate some Windows OS and run it there (i.e. in Virtual Box) or compile the program for your operating system (not sure if it's worth the hassle).

couldnt get it to run in virtualbox either- it crashed.

Has anyone compiled it for an apple? I really want to be able to use it...

If it crashes on Windows then perhaps there's something wrong inside program. What parameters are you using? When exactly does it crash, as soon as you press search button or with some delay? Does your OS show any message while program crashes?

It freezes at various stages, sometimes gathering rosters, other times at teams.

In terms of parameters, I've tried almost every combo imaginable. The few times I've got it to work is when I've set to search for league 1 only. As soon as I include league 2 it gets too much for it.

What do you mean by freeze? Can you move window around after you press Start button? If yes, then it doesn't freeze. I guess, should have made some progress bar...

My advice is to search at most 1 country, with maximum of 4 divisions (I believe 5th and 6th are all bots). Generally, only number of countries and division affect speed of collecting results. Check the Threaded box (it will use all processor cores). Program is IO bound (there's not much CPU calculations, depends heavily on your network connection). Such configuration takes around 20 seconds on my computer.

By freeze I mean I can set Australia only, searching in Australia only, leagues 1 and 2 only, 18yr olds only, and it won't return results over a 12 hr period
