We must forget about competitions and concentrate on building and training our players. Players that are from SA. I have seen that there are teams that don't have SA players in there line ups. This courses more damage to the National Teams. How can the Coaches build a team when the managers don't train SA players How?

Teams that have SA players and train them are overlooked WHY? Because the "Big Teams" don't care about the Nation Teams and buy foreigner players to make them look good.

We in SA can have the best coaches, but if the managers don't train there players or sell them for a profit, I say we will never win a competition

We must forget about competitions

Why? Training players is independent of playing the games on Mondays.

It's great to build for the future with effective training, sure, but there's no element of training that would force you to forsake the competitions to do so.

My problem is that there are some managers in SA that don't give a damn about the NT. Rather the build for the future they go for the quick fix, buying foreign players and selling youngsters. WHY?

Our National Teams will never be taken serious by other countries. Let a lone win competitions.

You can't force people to care about the NT - some people are just here to run their own teams the way they see fit.

I think I understand what you are trying to say... Because South Africa is one of the countries that has under 20 active teams it's really hard to compete with other teams with hundreds or thousands of players (at NT and U21 level). Due to the draft order priority, most of the good youth players go to weaker teams, usually teams that just were created, or teams that are in that chart position because they don't know or care how to play and train. Consider that most of the community doesn't even write(check) the forum or the game manual. So probably the best way to help the NT and U21 for these kind of teams is to sell them to other players rather then keep them untrained...
Also for the "big teams", that usually have higher expectations (wining the C'ship, Cup or participating in the B3) it is hard to rely on guys from South Africa with low potential that can't pass 10 points on their skills and have to compete against MVP players..
I don't know if you saw but some of us actually buy u21 players with higher potential (paying a lot more then players from other countries with same potential) just to help develop the youth team.
I hope on the future I'll get a good draft ^^
Cheers!

Very nice game! Our outside guys are doing a great job. Also it Theo did a pretty good job playing as SF but as you could see due to the fact that SF need rebounds our overall rebound rating was pitiful (probably the main reason we lost it by such a point difference).
I think our team has the right PG/SG and will probably will still have thanks to some teams that deliver good outside guys (including me hi hi hi), we have some old reliable C/PFs too and looking at the U21 i think more good C/PF will come, yet we lack true SF badly...
There are 2 ways to fix this:
1. SFs should be trained SF skills (so pretty much all of them) which is a lot harder due to the fact that they need to roll between outside and inside positions (that will hurt the average game for that team)
2. buy older outside guys and train them on inside positions or vice versa.
Cheers!

Well About the match of today I can say to you that I've enthusiasm 2 so you can understand why I've got so low rebound and so low values in the other things.

I'ma agree with you.
PG/SG are pretty good(Weinstein is very very near to become the SG on the lineup).
We have Makalakane e Mhlaba,Mbatha that are still competitive.Beye is now our PG in the lineup and the coach tell me that is still trained, and I believe the same thing of Beye is for Weinstein. And Modise needs some other pops
To concern SF I know that Jeff Wall that was trained as SG last seasons is now trained as PF/C(but I don't know if is ready for NT) and this is a good thing. The same thing is for Teka bought from Jaywalkers that was trained as inside guys for last seasons and now is trained as outside guys.

About inside guys I don't lnow if the actually 21's old has possibility, but I 'm sure that some of actually 20's old guys become good players for our NT.

About Sf I can say also that we need to hope in a good draft.
In the last draft1-2 players has the skills and the height for a small forward.

About WC I'm happy for the W against USA,I could try new tactics and the only regret is that we have a very hard group(the other was a little easier).

In the next days I write the actually situation about the future of SA.
I hope that for the draft we have more team.

Now we say goodbye to WC and now we have only some friendlies to try new tactics.

Let's go South Africa!
