in "Strictly Follow Depth Chart" selection rotation won't happen. like PF backup to SF or C positions. maybe in case of foul trouble or injury.

what I mean "PF backup to SF or C positions" is that some games I have seen that my PF backup subbing SF or sometimes C in the 4th quarter, even in the weekly stats page I see that PF got 3 or 4 minutes at SF position though he was a PF backup not SF backup. so when I choose " strictly flow depth chart" I didn't see such kind of rotation.

all I want to say is that to give a trainee e.g C 48 minutes, no backup for his position or the same player as a backup, to make sure that the coach won't rotate any other backup to rest that C trainee select " strictly flow depth chart" .

Are you describing a situation where you only have 9 players dressed for the game? In this case, there are often many things you could do with your lineup that would result in a player staying in for all 48 minutes fairly consistently.

However, the main point I was making is that if you dress 10 or more players, and are winning by more than 20 points in the 4th quarter, all 5 starters will come out of the game. It doesn't seem to matter what you do in terms of depth chart instructions, or where you place backups and reserves on the lineup card. This is why if you think you may win in a blowout, dressing only 9 players helps ensure that one trainee will stay in for a full 48 minutes. If you want to force 48 minutes at 2 positions, you would want 8 players, at 3 ppsitions, you would want 7 players, and so on.

Even if you dress 9 engine can still screw you. Rare but it happens. Ask jbmrock or dig that thread in bug forum.

That's true, dressing 9 is not a complete guarantee. It's just very helpful in a blowout situation, and will work most of the time.

Last season, I did have one game where my PF was substituted out with 70 seconds left for no apparent reason, with another starter coming back in for him. The starting PF ended up at 47 minutes for the game. This seems to only happen very rarely though.

Were up by single digit margin? Maybe free throws was the key?

I think that another thing happens - that somehow one of that sub decides to play on different positin than he should, albeit only for some minutes.

I was up by 32 points at the time, and there were no injuries or anything like that. I was definately very surprised when the sub happened.

in my last game in season nine (15428159) I dressed 9 and the two trainees got each 48 minutes, because there wasn't backup for them and all the other positions got backups.

Well. you didn't win in a blowout, so that's not really an example of what I was talking about. Having extra players dressed normally only causes issues if you are up by more than 20 points in the 4th quarter.

Yeah blowouts can cause the most problems with playing time i went into a game with 7 players with a backup PG and SG. End of the 3rd quarter my C was replaced by my PG, i was peeved.
