This can be problem if you sold players before the price rised. Now you have still the same money but you can't buy equivalent player.
I'm not sure it was necessary to bring such much money to economy. Only managers should train in much more responsible way, because many players with salary for example 200k are worse than well trained players with salary around 50k.

That's why people were given ample notice of the upcoming changes. You can bring the horse to water, but you can't make it drink, I guess.

It's not so easy. Sometimes you sold player and then it takes few weeks than you found suitable player on TL.
Surely, I don't know overall expenses and revenues in whole BB economy. But in my eyes present situation were caused by irresponsible training of many managers. I think it would have been better to make managers train his players in more responsible way (if there was less money in economy), because many players waged over 200k are really useless for game as they has almost all outside skills inept and lower.

Of course. However, the notice has been given a season ago, which is surely enough to make the necessary arrangements.

Well I personally think there is no real problem. If there is more money to be spend, why not spend it? I don't know about other leagues but in my own I think every team keeps growing. So it is only fair that the prices are higher, this is simply a matter of supply and demand.

No, it's not scary. Quality players are supposed to be expensive.

On the other hand, since players are expected to train and sell players, I don't see how this can be a problem. You sell for more, you buy for more.

You are a never ending surprise.
I wonder why the BBs are putting so much effort to make a long term stable economy. Who cares if there is huge inflation followed by huge deflation and so forth. You sell for more, you buy for more... you sell for less, you buy for less, that's it.
-.-

I actually can't still understand WHY this much money was brought into the game... it was obvious it would have caused such an inflation.

@kozlodoev: you are right that there was ample notice of the upcoming changes... but nobody expected (and we were never told) that the arena attendance would increase for most rather than decrease for few and that the effect on domestic/foreign players would decrease the costs instead of keeping them constant.

The BBs are putting effort in a self-regulating system so that they have an environment in which it is easy to control for unexpected changes in market price.

Hopefully you notice the difference between that and a one-time, expected, and announced an ample time in advance rise in prices (more or less inevitable in this situation).

There were announced changes but in my opinion there were no need to thing it cause inflation.

On the other hand, because high quality television programming will be available for fans, it will become harder and harder to sell out extremely large arenas, beginning at the start of Season 10. Nobody wants to watch a basketball game in a giant football stadium when they could be enjoying the game in HD at home. When these changes take effect, teams will be allowed to downsize their arenas if they wish and sell the materials they used in construction for the price they paid to construct them.

But reality is that is much more easier to sold out smaller stadiums. And also with well balanced tickets prices teams with large stadiums earn more on gate receipts.
I understand the changes are made for being able to pay the salaries which rises each season. But in my eyes it looks much more money was added to economy than is needed to pay higher salaries.

Changes are not made solely so that you're able to pay higher salaries. As a matter of fact, with the upcoming salary reform teams should be likely to see different salary behavior, given that salary will not be directly related to skill.

Obviously, higher income will allow teams to maintain more salaries on their rosters.

Additionally, the coming reformulation of salaries, coupled with the higher income should allow top-potential players to be trained to their full potential without making them too expensive for users. Therefore, the money stock needs to be increased, so that there is a possibility to price those extraordinary players accordingly.

Is that true? I thought salary would still be related to skill, but just not in the same way as it is now.

Is that true? I thought salary would still be related to skill, but just not in the same way as it is now.

From a recent News item:
Player skills will continue to develop normally, but each offseason the players union will scale salaries to match the total revenue available for them to distribute.

This obviously means that the salary of any given player might change regardless of whether his skills have changed. Obviously, players of comparable skill will still cost about the same.

The difference is that up to now, if you have trained a player, say 2 levels in a skill, his salary would increase by approximately X dollars (hence, skill and salary were _directly_ related). I don't think this will hold anymore with recalculation in every offseason.
