this topic is forgotten but still unanswered...is there anyone who has noticed that either one of his players rise experience level?


I'm completing one season of play and I've had three of my original 7 players make one pop in experience. They were spread out over time.

whatever guess would be - i think the "experience calculation formula" needs fine tuning...more "tuning" then "fine"...

No the experience is increasing, I have got 4 players with a pop there.

But watch out, pops in experience are not displayed with a green arrow. They just pop without notice, so you can only know it if you use sheets or if you just have an awesome memory ;).

from the rules:

The central part of the game engine is how the half court offense/defense works. The general idea is that a team gets a series of opportunities to score. What kind, and what the quality of those opportunities are is a function of the offense they are running, the matchups between the offensive players and their defenders. A player must decide whether the opportunity presented is good enough to take a shot… this of course changes as a function of amongst other things… the shot clock, the players experience, the score of the game, the history of the quality of shots the team has seen recently, the offense the team is running, and whether that rookie shooting guard of yours thinks he knows better than the coach does how good he is at making jump shots.


The only thing we know is that experience improves very very slow, and some players just start with better experience. Seems like experience is like when some players are referred to as having a good "basketball mind". Some just get it and it's not all that easy to teach.

yes, i know that there is no green arrow when exp pop-up

yes, i am using lots of excel tables with various info about my team/players

and most important:

no, there was not any exp pop ups in my team... (for example my draftees from last season have played regularly last season but nothing)

will see...

I haven't had a single pop either, my players also don't play 48 minutes average each week, it'll be more like 40 minutes.

(Yes I know, I still have too many players, still trying to lower it, although I think I'm addicted to many players to pick from, each has it's own special abilities you know....)

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Having in mind that some players are born with as much as respectable experience, this stat should mean very little in actual game terms. Either that, or it is terribly disbalanced.
