Exactly. Rebounding and points are easy to see on the boxscore and can be directly associated with an increase in skill. So higher rebounding skill will show more rebounds and a user will notice this because rebounds are easily quantifiable. However, passing is different because the only real measure of passing we have is assists. But you need to keep in mind that there would be a lot of great passes that are made but the player that received the ball gets a turnover or misses the shot and so the pass doesn't count as an assist. Consequently, a lot of really good passes don't get shown on the boxscore at all because many times the shooter will miss, and so players think that passing is overrated but it is actually a very valuable skill to have.

You can't count that player either lol.
His salary is so high because he is just a passing machine. Rest of the skills are probably crap.
And he is playing on a bot team lol.

It'll be prominent or higher most likely. I have players with respectable passing who don't average close 4 APG. At least he's producing 6 a game. Whereas a player with prominent or higher rebounding would be pulling down over 15 boards a game.

To stajan: Could it be that managers haven't trained passing as much because it didn't seem to pay enough dividend? While rebounding did, for example.

I don't think it would be prominent. Possible, but seems high. Unless he has very little OD in which case it makes sense. The player's rating is pretty low though.

As I said before, when you collect a rebound you automatically add 1 to your total rebounds. This isn't the same for passes. You have to make the pass and the other player has to score.
So maybe his team just needs to score better.

Its the highest scoring team in the league. Well over 100 points a game. And they even shoot a high % which is rare. :)

Surely such a team should have a PG averaging close to 9-10 APG.

Okay well maybe it is because he has low gameshape.
If you look at his team, you will notice he gets over 30 assists a game.
Perhaps he just has 1 or 2 dominant scorers and the rest of them pass the ball to these guys and so the reason the assists aren't high per person is because they are spread out over the team.

Passing is a skill that is not so esay to train, probably simply cause if you train passing you don't train any other primary skill, even in decimal - ok, driving and handling, but they are not as appealing as JS or OD.

Probably, people just look elsewhere. Anyway, I'm going to raise my outer player passing level by 2 in the next season :-)
