only won 2 games out of 8 matches. serveral close loses tho.

we ended on a win, but i'm still greatly dissapointed... i'll be looking at all the games again, see if their was anything that i overlooked before writing my conclusion on this consolation tournament.

yeah, it's tough.

there are games you should win, and games you can't win.
it's the close ones you should try to win as much as possible to be succesfull.

Best leave it all behind as soon as possible (except ofcourse the things you have learned) and concentrate on the future

we got some beautiful SF's that are being trained... and i hope that one or both inside SF's will be at a good lvl to select next season. that should help us really. i've been in charge of the guards before i got the NT, and somehow, i managed to convince to keep the people training their guards with the result that an unless your player has OD 17, he ain't making the NT for the guard selection anymore...

but with the C's, the salary goes up way to fast... so the problem their is to find a team that will take the salary of that C...

Joe, we might need to talk about how we can solve that. i got an idea, but i'd like to hear your oppinion on it. i'm not gonna mention it here in the forum, cause it might give away more info than that we'd like to for our futur U21/NT

I'd pick a 16 IS, REB, ID, Block over a 18 IS,ID,REB and 10 block any time !
It justed caught my eye you're only talking about 3 inside skills on the centers of the opponents.

To me, the key for centers lays in ID - REB - Block, not in ID-REB-IS. Leave IS to PFs and SFs, and even then...not too much.
As you say, ID of most inside men is prety high, so it's no use to try to find high IS as it will never be high enough.
It's much better to concentrate on outside offense, especially on inside men, as the 18-19 inside skill monsters often lack outside skills and that's where you can hurt them!
With enough Id and block, and also rebound, you have enough to stop those monsters as well, no need to invest in IS !!

i just got 2 mails of guy's (who are not in belgium) suggesting me to take their C's into the NT. their RB's were 13 and IS and ID combined were 23....

i'm not sure wheither i should see it as an insult or not, or if i should forgive those managers inexperience, bu ti just call those kind of mails spam...

might need to post some info on the profile or so, but i really dislike those spammers...

but now, i'm getting mails with questions about how much he's worth to resell...

this is really one thing you forgot to mention me Joe... that when you are the NT coach, your mailbox ALWAYS has some new mails...

the good thing about it is, that you've got some managers like those of Tijl Deseure and Freire Mees. They really are working hard on their NT players ( i must say, their GS isn't always great, but atleast, they are really making an effort for their players)

i guess that everything has it's good points and less good points, but that you'll only get to know the lesser points if you are working on the job... this said, i'm not sure wheither i should consider the NT as a burden, as a honor, or as an extra challenge.

they are probably all 3 of those last things...

and now that Sum has achieved the unexpected last season, i guess that those who work with the NT, will have to work harder if we ever want to have a shot at oding the same with the belgian NT, but don't get carried away. we are atleast 10 seasons away from getting their.)

Finally, we've had a nice win with the belgium NT. usually, in the 4th quarter, we end up losing the game and giving away the game. but this time, we managed to pull away (it was 96-97 at a certain point in the 4th Q...)

i'm happy to say that since we are using 2 new SF's ( Ottevaere and Lussu, who are both a major upgrade defensifly) that our game seems to be better than before.

now, the upcomming games will be used to give a max experience to the young guy's, who should be the starters in a few seasons. we probably will end up losing games (and some games that we should be able to win, we will end up losing) however, the goal is to give the young guy's: ( Thys, Deseure, Lussu, Mees, Otto, Fleeton, ...) a boost in experience, so that in 2 or 3 seasons, we will have caught up with the other NT's, since the current lvl of experience on our NT players is (on average) almost 2 lvl's lower that foreign NT players... (and XP in NT games plays a big role, especially in close games near the end of the game, where, this season, we ended up losing all close games...)

but i'm happy to say that today, most youngsters preformed well
