If there is a salary floor, shouldnt there be a ceiling, or a soft/hard cap too?

I think some kind of luxury tax should apply for teams that saved truckloads of cash and then decide to buy a title with a team way above league average.

A salary cap will penalize those teams that did a better job training and building a better team. Why set up a system that penalizes the better managers?

As for tanking, the salary floor is now there to penalize teams that want to tank, save cash and then buy a team back. They can still try this strategy but won't be able to build up nearly as much in cash reserves.

As well, a salary cap would probably demolish any lower division teams that are developing U21 or NT prospects, dedicated farm team or not. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

There is already a kind of cap in each division,it happens because of the arena

So if a guy already has the 3rd highest salaries in the league but isn't a good enough team to have HCA in the playoffs, you would fully support him if he buys a couple of 100k centers just before the playoffs so that he can lose money and promote, that's because he did a better job training and building his team.

Right?
