If there is a salary floor, shouldnt there be a ceiling, or a soft/hard cap too?I think some kind of luxury tax should apply for teams that saved truckloads of cash and then decide to buy a title with a team way above league average.
A salary cap will penalize those teams that did a better job training and building a better team. Why set up a system that penalizes the better managers? As for tanking, the salary floor is now there to penalize teams that want to tank, save cash and then buy a team back. They can still try this strategy but won't be able to build up nearly as much in cash reserves.
