Hotmail is valid, well worked for me anyways.. Just a tip for you all though... '/ns' = '/msg nickserve'. So you can use.. /ns register password email.
I remember having a lot of trouble when i tried registering first of all as well... You can try '/ns help register' AND '/ns register help', and it will give 2 quick howto guides.. I think the email part is optional as well...
