Slightly OT - can players develop aggressiveness? Since last season my players have become foul prone. Am thinking maybe its because of the defensive sets and the players they are guarding but after switching tactics am not so sure any more.

I'm just having so much problems with foul trouble :(

foul rate = aggressiveness, experience, poistion on the field @ game time, stamina, defensive skills, opponent skill and reference allowed contact rate
most of them is either fixed or out of our control
either keep upgrading his defense skills or play against weaker opponents or even start from the bench
and may be matchup against the weaker offense player

19yr with rating 10 against a ~5 opponent looks promising

the defencive quality plays a low role in it, the reduction of fouls again a player while training defence i would explain with that the other team looks for shots against his teammates and he have fewer chanches to commit a shooting foul.

But i reviewed close to 50 NT games in the past, with matchup like Malta vs Italy and the number of fouls are nearly the same(mostly depend on tactics) betwen those team and italy had much more talent ;)

Alright. I had some suspicions about this as well. Do you have similar information about stamina? Since I think an increase in stamina from let's say awful/inept to average/respectable might make a difference in fouls committed. Currently training a foul prone player and will see if my 2 weeks of stamina make a difference. At the moment he can't play 48 mins without fouling out.

Crunchy! If you eat fast enough

we can't control how our opponent choose his tactic
and even he can't control how his PG deliver the ball on the field

even if u can avoid an isolation play in the high/low post,
it doesn't make that player avoid silly foul in the half court or when the opponent drive into the lane and draw contact
