one thing i no for sure helps is not selling and buying players every week. It seems like when i buy someone even a local player my merc goes down. I havn't bought someone in a couple of weeks and it goes up everyweek.

I went from 120k last season, to 80k this season and I have no clue why. I am below league average!

I have three NT players. 1 domestic, 2 foreign, one of them U21.
I am ranked sixth overall in my league
only roster move was the replacement of a 130k center with a 230k center.

To me merchandise is totally random.

Season before last season I was champion in div2
Last season I won playdown
This season I will reach the playoffs unless I tank

Steady progress should be rewarded and not punished. Thats frustrating.

Why?

It was possible to code it like it is now, so tweaking a few numbers should get the job done. I have improved my team every single season, as long as I have been in this game and somehow my first season in Div I seems to be the peak and now its going down faster and faster. I dont like this.

I think this is pretty much how fans work in real life to in one way. They are hyped at first when you do promote to the first division. But as time goes they will start to demand more and more.
And if this is to be programed as you want every team would need to have it's own scale of what good/better is.
They would need to rework the whole system and i think that would take a lot of time that could be spent on other things.

It's true that this happens in real life, but not that quickly, and not that severely. Maybe they could decrease the factor that affects merch dropoffs in promoted teams by at least 25%. I don't think it would take that much time...

Below is a summary of the results of the survey:
I am pleased with the team's performance last season - Guessing that this answer is consistently 2-2.5 balls lower than it was last season, as mentioned by others itt.

Yea this merchandising thing is confusing me. I took over a team after the fourth week adn pretty much started dumping all the players within the next 2-3 weeks. Since then I pretty much have a whole new team with an exception of 1 guy who I thought was worthy enough to stay and could help my team. Since then I have been able to only manage a ball and a half. and It's been a couple weeks and I've taken the team from 7th to 3rd, over .500, and taken the point differential into the positive. Overall i'm 8-3 since taking over and well it doesn't seem winning has dont anything to the merchandise...so what else can I do?
