Topalov :-) He is Bulgarian

You see things; and you say, "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say, "Why not?"

One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble
Not much between despair and ecstasy
One night in Bangkok and the tough guys tumble
Can't be too careful with your company
I can feel the devil walking next to me

Perhaps I date myself....

I dunno. I often listen to this song when I'm on the Road to Bangkok, aboard the Thailand Express. Stops in Morroco, Lebanon, Afghanistan.

Am I dating myself? :)

I love chess, as 1 game before studies increases concentration and make things easy to understand, but only with easy opponents because with tough ones it take a long time and study and bb time decreases And my favourite player is Anand.

it's impossible to improve without playing against strong opponents and it won't be fun anymore if you are winning easily everytime..
the same thing applies for losing everytime..

Anand used to have a very attractive combinational play but he lost many fans after his disappointing drawish performance in the latest world championship match..
i like Levon Aronian most among active players..
Nakamura is also fun to watch because of his ability to play off-beat openings in the top level..

I don't really follow chess too closely but I agree that Nakamura's games are definitely among the most interesting ones.

I think a really interesting variant would be that the players would move their opponent's pieces for the first couple of moves, or alternate who gets to move the pieces for the first few turns. That would get things out of prepared openings, so the player rather than the preparation matter most.

Definitely a chess lover. I haven't really played much competitively since junior year of high school but I got to be pretty decent. +1 for this thread, which I just stumbled across.
