I agree, it's not the most realistic tactic ever, but I'll also say that when players put up those unrealistic stats, teams are far less likely to win. A few seasons ago we had a team that ran patient all year with their SF averaging close to 50 PPG http://www.buzzerbeater.com/league/1805/overview.aspx?season=15 they won 7 games. It's unrealistic, but not to the point of being unfair. I think by and large its most effective at keeping a bad team closer to a good team rather than getting blown out of the stadium.

nobody will be able to make his big man take 30-40 shots with Patient even if he matches legendary IS against atrocious ID..
Here is at least one exception - Wisniewski and IV league (44242338) :) however, this is an extreme situation. But what is the solution. Just can't play zone to prevent patient efficacy, because 2-3 dosn't work and I can't use 3-2 if look inside is so powerful. Still there can't be Iverson - O'Neal missmach entire game.
C and PF position players can't play deffense as SF, SG, PG. Of course in this case training should be changed to train guards inside skills etc.

It makes no sense that you can win any game with your SF against other potent 2 big man offenses while having Respectable (7) ID...

I understand what you're saying but I just feel it's an unfair offense, if you have a good enough player to run it.

I have a biased opinion though since last season my rival only ran this tactic... I luckily beat him in our second game but only because of my GS and Crunch Time effort. I don't know how to do the links you do but check my schedule. Season 18, second game against PhL Azkals (Hawaii). His player even won the MVP award for that year because all he would do is score. So in my case it was a dominant offense. I actually feel better now though seeing him try his normal routine in D IV play against better opponents. It's safe to say it's failing horribly for him right now. (:

All that said, I would be happier if the tactic was gone too and that's my honest opinion.

Magic Johnson (PG) 20 yrs old rookie entered game 6 against phila replacing Kareem at the C position guarding dr J. Lakers won the Title
D Rose will beat Bynum of drible and score like 150 points in the paint he can drag him to 3p line or just hit 20 in row 16-18ft Jumpers ,Dont make the mistake thinking Bynum is an elite defender hes just big he got no foot work on defence hes not a shot-blocker (he swing at the ball -this is an instant call from every refferee in the world). So its not so unreal hey :)
Can give you thousands of examples these days guards destroying deffences with penetrations to the basket.

Yeah, hes sucking in IV because he's playing patient with a 9k SG. usually you only play patient if you have a player that is really really good. If he was a 20k SG i would understand but a 9k SG.... I dont get why he thinks that will work. He is also killing that players gameshape. Its at inept so really his 9k SG is playing more like a 5k SG..

Always remember a 5k player with proficient gameshape is always better then a 10k player with inept game shape.

moutlinho is correct, as always, but I think it is for more than fun!

A 3-2 zone really hurts patient, I would imagine a 1-3-1 zone would totally cripple it.

What I like about about patient is that you can mix it up a little with look inside. I like to swap between them so my opponents who may be considering a 2-3 zone against my LI (fools!) and will probably play man to man occasionally get caught out as I play a patient and one of my players explodes for 60+ points.
