I don't like old players that drop in skill and would try to avoid them

You would hate my roster then...

Yeah, hard searching, found a ... "lesser" (arguable) talented player, but 25. and Got him for the same price I would of had to pay for 33 year old.

Players with high levels of experience tend to perform at a good level.

you are way overrating experience IMO.

I've read some "bad beat" threads... and one in particular that stands out as aexample to support your claim is:

Two of your old guys seem to disprove that. (4547102) and (6627910) seem to be performing better than their salary.

smh... do you not understand the difference between causal & coincidental?? that's like you "disproving" that smoking is bad for you by finding a couple of 100 year olds that smoke & saying...."hey they look healthier than the average 100 year old."

If you just want to cherry-pick examples... My $30k center (9634279) has the **lowest experience** of my regular PF/Cs, & got a 20 game rating on Tuesday (46052887). Way lower experience than Garabalde & half the salary. Explain? And they both average basically the same rating over the entire season.

i've done actual experiments in PL games & scrimmages. experience doesn't matter like you think it does. let me dig up 1 test vs. lucky fans if i can find it.

Old guys can be good cheaper stop gap measures to get fill gaps. The trick is to plan ahead so you either have a trainee or cash to replace them when their skills drop. In some cases, depending on your situation, they can slide into a backup role. The key is to think ahead and have plan on how to replace them. Players with high levels of experience tend to perform at a good level.

Word up!

I like to try to get guys for non-training positions relatively cheaply at a starter level, and then let them slide into becoming backups and eventually deep reserves and then move them on. That means that there's not much hope of recovering any money from selling them when they're done, but I'm not one of those managers who evaluates success or failure based on transfer profits. ;)
