Please take a look in my games back at season 20.

I was again a promoted team. I will describe to you the attendance behavior of my arena

Game 1 Away: I lost

Game 2 Home:I lost
I sold 10330 bleachers (Price 17$ , same price with this season )
Total tickets 12.032


I lost my cup game

Game 3 Away: I lost

Game 4 Home: I lost
Total tickets 12.047

Game 5 Away (TV Game): I lost

Game 6 Home: I lost
Total tickets 11.978

Game 7 Home: I lost
Total tickets: 10919

So i suffered the first drop to my bleachers attendance (with the same price of 17$) after i lost 6 games in a row, my TV game and my cup game

This is the ''promotion shield'' i mentioned before and it is a well know behavior.

I have a record of over 30 examples of the exact same behavior for promoted teams. Thats why i repeated the question.

Of course, one also could look at that season and see in game two you hosted a second place team, game four a third placed team, and the sixth and seventh games were against the #6 and #7 teams. The promotion shield does not guarantee that you will sell out nor that you will always have the same attendance as you started with, just that the effects of your losses are minimized. I am certain that even if you lose every game in the remainder of conference play that you will draw more fans to your stadium on your game on Dec 22 against the #1 team than you will now, assuming they continue to lead the league.

But as you can see the attendance against the #6 team was 11.978
So the drop comparing to the first game was (12.032-11.978)/12.032=0,44%
An almost zero drop after o 0-5 record, included a TV game and the cup game
Please note the magnitude of the effect!!!

With the same bleachers price i suffered after a 0-2 record and a win in my cup game a drop of 16,17%

After relegating in Season 20, it's probable that you lost more season ticket holders than you gained when you promoted in Season 21. Did you happen to keep track? Every relegated/promoted team I've talked to has seen that.

Considering that season ticket holders is an indication of your fan base, a net negative change after relegation/promotion would contribute to your weaker attendance this season.

First of all, I don't like your tone. We are trying to help you here and there's no reason for not being civilized.

Second, additional to the arguments others have already provided, you have sold 4 players in the time between the two games. All effects cumulative, I don't see this as a bug.

Of course you are a hundred percent right. My ticket season holders are significantly down comparing to Season 20. So my attendance is lower comparing to this season (courtside + luxury boxes). But the issue here is not my attendance but the variation of it.

The reason I was aggressive in the previous post, is that I believed your answer (about the 0-2 record) was "shallow". The matter of attendance of a promoting team is very well known, it was a theme for debate for tanking teams many seasons now. A lot of managers have proposed decreasing this promotion bonus. So if it was a common behavior after 2 losses in a row to lose income from gate receipts there would not be a conversation.

So probably I misunderstood the spirit of your answer and once again I apologize.

My intention is to inform about this matter which in my opinion looks like a bug and not a normal behavior, and not whine about my "money".

Still my statement (which is supported by the data I have collected) is that the promotion shield was dominant comparing to fan survey in any case since mine.
Your argument is that a mix of all the parameters that define the attendance, conclude to my arena's behavior. To be honest I am not convinced, because every single parameter (pr manager, selling players, cup game, tv game, rival, etc.) was equal or worse back in season 20 comparing to this season.
In season 20 I had sold my entire team not just 4 players, I had lost my cup game (this season I won). In season 20 I ended with 0-22, now I only had 0-2 ....

So every single argument that you and the other guys said, is true but it was also true in season 20 with a very different result. Back then my arena behaved with the normal/common way of a promoted team which now is not the case.

It's up to you to decide if it is a bug or not, but now I am sure I have made clear my point of view.

I just went and reread your first post in this thread, and I have no idea what you are talking about (especially the bolded part- perhaps you could expand on that).

Your first post seemed to express surprise that your attendance this season was so much lower than in S20. Many people have supplied various reasons why this is not surprising in any way.

You're quite clear, to me at least. There are effects and there are effects on the match income, some of which I cannot/don't want to discuss, for sake of revealing too much. This is not a bug in my book, and the arguments you laid have not changed my mind.

On a lighter note, try not to think of yourself unlucky this season, yet very lucky in season 20

I want to wait but another team seems to have the same problem.

First Game at home : 270k$
Second game at home : 230k$

Last season : 22 wins (0 defeats)
This season : 0 defeats.

So -40k$ !!

I think i've lost the bonus of promoted teams ....


For information, i have noticed in season 16 a team wich have had the same arena as my arena now and his ticket prices (same as now). This team was Papycool (French III.8) which win championship of league IV in season 15. He has earned same money for his first two games although he has lost his second game.
First game : (32929081) : 17770 people in arena
Second game at opponents arena : Lost
Third game at home : (32929097) : 17770 people in arena

My team with same price :
First game : (52731162), 17 000 people in arena
Second game at opponents game : win
Second game (52731178) : 13800 people.

My arena : 15 525 places in bleachers (so more). Price : 12$ (so less) ====> Only 150k$ in the pocket looool

You were playing the 8th place team in the second home game. Attendance does tend to drop when you're playing very low placed teams.
