It jacks up merchandise a ton, helps out a lot with the fan survey, generally gets you a better rounded team because you train them exactly how you want them to be and you don't have to buy them off the TL, some people have suggested that it helps with season ticket holders, It forces you to have a nice balance of veterans and rookies, along with the fact that you know how to pronounce all of your players names

I have seen no such help in season ticket holders. And fan survey it is almost always a 1/2 or 1 start or GM doing everything to help team win. Which seems to have more weight than familiarity with star players as I have never yet had a 5 star fan survey approval, including the week I pulled off my huge upset cup win last year.

And how much benefit is the merchandise money when your team salaries are always so low due to training people up and being salary efficient... Don't need the money with arena built if you not buying players on TL. Sure I could spend 40k a week on scouting.... But...

Well if you are so against homegrown teams saying how bad it is and how it does not benefit you, then simply do not have a home grown team. I don't really see what the problem is. All I know is many people have homegrown teams and are perfectly fine with maintaining it. If you are not that type of person, then don't have a homegrown team, but there is no reason to change anything involving homegrown teams in my opinion.

I am against day trading. If we are going to punish them by doing player game shape hits... Why not reward those who do not do this

Why punish against everything negative when rewarding the opposite can have same deterrent effects... It goes to to conditioning if you know what I mean from any psychology courses

Ok so the main thing I keep hearing about being 100% homegrown is that no matter how great you train your team and players etc. at a certain point there hits a wall that is not overcomeable...

My suggestion is to have enthusiasm slow down less quickly for these teams since they know day in day out who will be on the team... Who will be starting, playing etc. no fear of a foreign player or a transferred ringer coming in taking their spots.

I have a couple of problems with this still.
1. In your initial post, you were not talking about rewarding everyone who keeps a stable team, but only homegrown teams and if the goal is to prevent day trading, then you can't just reward homegrown teams because many teams keep their players and a solid stable roster but have many foreigners on it, thus they are not 100% homegrown.
2. I disagree completely with your psychology courses method. Rewarding teams that are not day trading is like paying a little kid 5 dollars every morning for getting dressed, even though that little kid knows they should just do it anyways. You are rewarding them for doing what they normally do, and it is not as if they are completely some amazing task for their reward, but instead just doing what is expected of them. Rewarding teams for doing what they are suppose to do is silly. The reward is the better fan surveys and better gameshape, resulting in more wins and a better season. There is no need for more rewards.

In response to number 2.

It is expected to be homegrown?
It is expected not to day trade?
It is expected to keep the same players every season?

Where are these expectations shown for everyone? That said your analogy is invalidated.

In response to 1.
Valid argument and hence why I took an idea I had in my head, and posted as a question and suggestion to the bb community so that many people may chime in their thoughts and opinions... Maybe people could even make comments like "well if said player is on your team for 3 years... 5 years... Etc but not drafted then..."

Etc. yes that is the hope of the original post to have many people chime in.

Another suggestion could be a prominent GS level they could reach if managed correctly.

Neither of these changes would do anything unless used correctly. And aside from the extra merchandise which can go towards higher trainers or expanding arena quicker... There's no benefit from this or reward to it. Where as there is a reward to people whom day trade or constantly buy and sell players, which as of this season now hits the game shape of those players whom do that.

So we can include this as another possibility to discourage people from doing the day trading and buying monsters for a big game then selling them.

Is it the phrasing I did here where E.B.W. is focused on the homegrown aspect and not the aspect of suggestions as possibilities to discourage day trading further?

I believe that their has been a misunderstanding by either one of us or both of us, because I do not feel liek we are even talking about the same thing anymore. Your thread is titled 100% homegrown, but I don't believe it is what you are talking about or referring to in your posts, so we probably got off at that point. It is not expected to any of those three questions that you asked, however it is expected that people will not day trade as much and become more homegrown and keep same players if they want to maintain good game shape and a good fan survey is my point. I think punishing people and rewarding people are both in the game already.

In response to this, this is already in the game... As I've stated, it increases your merchandise and if your fan survey is better then you will get more attendance for games and more season ticket holders, thus resulting in more money. That is your "lower interest rates and driver discounts". What you have suggested is improving their team (not their economy), by not day trading as much. That is the part I disagree with. A safe driver discount does not make the drivers better drivers and certainly does not improve their driving skills.

I can second that. I had a homegrown player whom I trained to be in U21 (18383496). When he was 25, I sold him due to his low potential for NT (Superstar). Until then, my merchandise was always way above the league average. After selling him, my merchandise took quite a hit (somewhere around 8-10k - his salary was 70k). 8k per week is nice to have, as this means you will get 110k+ per season. I still regret selling him.
