Agreed.

A pair of 5k trainees trained say age 18->25 who are now 32 and immediately after another pair of 5k trainees trained age 18->25 would count for just $20k towards the the tax. (you would have a huge exemption #)

That is when you can really load up and not have to pay tax even if you're over the revenue/expenses $0 point because you won't be over the tax point.

Big benefit for those that bought young players just before the season update
especially those that were of a certain age and got bumped big time in salary
they get those with the new levels of proficiency and the old salary per tax exemption

Is this official info Kumiko? I'm looking everywhere for more info on this overextension tax and can't find it. Not even in the game manual, which btw, can't figure out what the highest salary acquirable is? That can't be for a player, can it? And is there anywhere that tells you what your salary threshold before taxes is? (or do we have to do that math ourselves using buzzer manager - for those that have been using it for a while)
I'm waiting on BB Patrick (or an EGM) to open up a Season 26 thread in BB Global to hopefully get more info on this, but this has been super useful info!

Go to your economy page

In the Baseline Weekly Economy box look for the text Overextension Tax*

mouseover that for all the details

My training exemption value is Morales+Macindeor+ Hendel current salary MINUS Morales+Macindeor+Hendel salary when placed on my team

To the dollar

Highest salary acquirable is right at the top of the Transfer List page
-or-
when you go to buy a player, it is near the bottom also

Ahhh, tyvm! I can't believe I missed that earlier, that and the players salary list below is exactly where I expected it.

And my highest salary acquirable is 2.5+ mil, which just seemed strange but I guess folks in Div 1 and 2s probably can get any player in the game since it's not intended for them.

Total Revenue: $ 212 711
Total Expenses: $ -161 671
Training Exemption: $ 22 182
Overextension: $ 0
Overextension Tax Rate: 50%
Overextension Tax Total: $ 0

None of it really effects me, nor do I have to worry about it, despite purchasing 2 players recently, and trying to acquire another before tip off tomorrow...

*that said*

What is the training exemption? I need that explained more thoroughly please.

With that table, it seems to me like the tax rate would go up the more overextension tax you spend. Anyone willing to test out the rates? :)

you purchase a trainee with 10k salary, 2 seasons of training later he is 50k. Only the initial 10k counts towards expenses, you'll get a 40k training exemption.

Think of it like the NBA's luxury tax (hello to the nets fans paying millions in luxury tax for a lottery team). If you spend above a certain amount you get hit with a tax, but in BB if you trained a player yourself you get a discount that can help keep you below the tax threshold.

It means $22 182 out of your $161 671 expenses are due to your trainees rising in value from training.
You could go $22 182 over your revenue and not be taxed. (adding ~70k salary player)
