After the first big scouting round I made a first ranking. The NT is the center. Around the NT is a group of players who already can play or are near the NT. The third group consists of young players. These players will be a part of the NT in three or four seasons.

NT:
Sandbom - The big man for every task and tactic
Martinsson - I like this guy. It took him only 105 sec to injury a player during our first game. He understands what I mean by playing hard defense.
Tjädermo - one of the "special forces" ;)
Claesson - awesome defense, let's see what he can do
Hulten - still NT, but with 33 years every friday can turn into hell
Sommarborg - still can't decide NT or outer circle...
Akersten - the third 33 y/o. but still NT level
Tunggard - the second "special forces"
Mazzolini - "the" centerpiece
Molner - and the fourth one...
Widerström - just
Tuikkala - number five
Everland - and six...
Jocke Svensson - I really hope he gets training...

Outer Circle:
Carlsson - poor minutes
Karlsson - poor minutes
Gijon - depends on the training
Wedling - still needs a little bit training
Tullander - well balanced, it's time for a specialization
Öby - will depend on the tactics
Fredriksson - he needs now the finishing touches
Adolfsson - hmm, there are a lot of strong Forwards and there is little space behind them

The young ones:
Rob Svensson - nice skills, looking forward
Hakansson - one or two strong seasons and he could be near the NT
Birgersson - strong young player!

That's just a part of the players I found so far. I will update and build it up during the next weeks.

To sum it up, you have some really nice Forwards. Some of them just need the last bit of skills to reach the next level. Let's see if the younger ones (under 28) can reach it during the next two seasons.

Hm.. wondering about Jocke Svensson... the training/shape wasnt promising last couple of weeks but time will tell.
anyway, seems like you found most if not all of the interesting players. Alot of decent small forwards, that used to be a real problem position for us, now we have very few good guards. It changes like the seasons :)

Good work also!

During my time as the german U21 coach, I used the team also for some test runs
Starting from that time, we have almost every season SB players now. I dug deeper, made more tests and analysis and talked a little bit with a certain BB. To sum up, there are combos which I prefer and use in my own teams. I won't post exact skill sets, just ideas or recommendations.

JS = JR - both are connected and you can't have a strong shooter with only one of these two

ID = SB - the next combo which should be always at the same level (for bigs).

JS = JR = DR = IS - the most important combination for all-tactic-forwards. I own such a player in Utopia and he is a destructive force. Currently I build another one with even higher skills and better defense.

PA > DR - driving is weighted more than passing in the game engine. so if you want a first-pass guy, you have to keep passing higher than driving

DR = IS - pretty important for inside bigs, especially for LI-PF.

Stamina 7+ - very important for all defensive players. the GE consumes more stamina during the defense than the offense. so a real defense specialist should have at least stamina 7. for me, this is the fourth defense skill

During the last days I thought about my aims with the NT. It came down to two things:

1) Project NT players: There are fast ways and slow ways to train players. I would like to discuss with you your plans with potential NT players and see if we can maximize the training speed by arranging a certain trainiing order.

and

2) improving the WR: The WR is important for the european championship. In Europe there are 8 groups with 6 teams in it. The first group has the strongest teams and sets the heads for the group stage during the EC. The second group has the next six and so on. The last group has the weakest teams. Sweden is in the fifth group currently. That means we got four teams from higher groups this season. Switzerland which has only 15 managers more than Sweden is the strongest team in group 3 and they can move forward to group 2 this season. The Nederlands are in the same categorie (139 managers) and are in group 2. We should aim for the same region.

Current situation:
1 - Poland - 996,3
2 - Finland - 920,3
3 - Serbia - 740,8
4 - France - 396,1
5 - Italy - 390,7
6 - Spain - 359,9

7 - Czech Republic - 349,4
8 - Slowakia - 323,3
9 - Ukraine - 308,0
10 - Slovenia - 266,3
11 - Belgium - 246,7
12 - Nederlands - 232,0

13 - Switzerland - 230,8
14 - Lithuania - 22,8,4
15 - Greece - 228,4
16 - Russia - 224,3
17 - Croatia - 222,2
18 - Belarus - 217,8

19 - Danmark - 201,8
20 - Germany - 201,7
21 - Turkey - 199,3
22 - Hungary - 198,5
23 - England - 189,6
24 - Portugal - 183,2

25 - Bosnia&Herzogovina - 178,6
26 - Sverige - 176,5
27 - Estonia - 176,0
28 - Israel - 172,6
29 - Latvia - 170,6
30 - Austria - 169,7

Standing: 21.11.2015

Danmark is only app. 25 pts ahead of us and we play against them. Let's see how the season goes and how far we can move up.

Game 1: Sverige (49) 102:117 Poland (1)

The first game is finished and the first half of the game killed us. We went with a -20 into half time and our FG was on an underground level. 14-49 FG (28,6%) were too low againt the defending world champion. We had the right defense for their Motion. To be honest I speculated for RnG, but wasn't certain.
The second half was way better. We won both quarters by a small margin. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to get under -10. We finished the second half with 26-52 FG (50%) and the team showed some really good offense.

If you take a look at the schedule, you will see that we have the strongest opponents at the beginning of this championship. That's hard, but has also its benefits. The margin between strong and less stronger teams is smaller currently. With higher enthusiasm and game shape it will be harder to play against teams like Poland. The other teams have to show that they can survive against Poland or at least play better than we did today.

There was a surprise today. Armenia won after an OT against Croatia. So one of the two main candidates for second place already slipped and this will make the next games even more exciting.

Very interesting to see your posts, both regarding the ranking and training. Since I have 3 youngsters currently in training, I am looking forward to your recommendations.

Good work against a solid Poland, looks promising

Game 2: Sverige (48) 111:99 Slovenia (22)

Second game, first victory. Last week our first half was a desaster, this week our first half was exellent. If we ignore Martinsson, the rest of the team had a 70%+ FG half. That was a monster half!

MVP: Tjädermo. He was our high percentage scoring machine. He also finished the game with a DD.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: Martinsson. I could say again. On the one hand he had a really bad shooting performance, in the other hand he dished out nine assists. I really hope he gets the hang and performances constantly on a high level.

X-Factor: I will take Everland. After Tunggard had no further motivation to play, Everland showed a stellar performance. Great shooting and a nice touch from the free throw line helped us to seal the victory.

With our victory and a little surprise from Romania, we should move up to the fourth place... if I'm right. Danmark and Poland won their games and the keep the first two places between them. Slovenia is still in front of us thanks to the better difference. Croatia lost both games with -1 and -3. That's from the category "first we got unlucky and than the others had luck". Unfortunately we are their next opponents and I think they will try to let their frustration out on us.
Nonetheless, great game and thanks for the good game shape. Please keep it up and if needed raise it to 8 or better 9. Our group is very balanced and in the end several points can deceide about a higher place.

And I would be glad, if we can start a discussion about the NT and how we can develop it further.
