Yes, correct. I will most likely boost inside skills - ID and IS. My other 2 trainees will greatly benefit as it will boost their inside skills now and then i can hit their outside skills next couple seasons. Basically making them both valuable forwards when they are 23/24 yrs old. But after pondering this mistake of a 7-1 player with outstanding passing skills will really be nice once he gets a boost on his inside skills....I guess i am still stuck with him for now so I need to build him the best way possible.

My advice is one on one for forward until driving is 15, after that go for inside defense and rebounding.

I agree with this but either in reverse order or in a rotation. Forget the IS, only rely on secondary pops, he won't be a good inside player probably ever but may be an excellent PF if he can defend and rebound.

He wouldn't be a good inside player...For you
This guy's team is in Div IV
He can use him to help him win games
and then he can sell him and makes some money
I would still go IS & ID off the bat

True but I’m guessing he would not want to stay in D4.

After contemplating this mistake i still trained him this past week....1/1 forward and got a couple bumps.

Martí Ferrer ↑popped↑ in Jump Shot from sensational to tremendous .
Martí Ferrer ↑popped↑ in Handling from strong to proficient .

I can still train to keep but you're saying to train ID and REB?? He will be 24 this coming season and i have read where trainees are still popping well until around 26 or 27 and then it really slows down. If was able to get any pops at this age they might as well be all inside training since he is 7-1 so along with my other trainees who i am basically building as SF's will benefit from any inside training they're 21st and into their 22nd yr and then Hopefully this mistake will be decent enough to help win playing as a PF?? Correct me if need to as I am up for any tips. But I am asking why not train IS any?

It really depends on the offense you want to run and your other trainees.

My opinion, just based on this players skills, is you have time to train two inside skills to a decent level (~13). Because of that, I don't think he will ever become a dominant inside player but has the potential to contribute outside and still defend inside and rebound. I am personally a big believer in rebounding, especially at lower levels where in theory you would have more misses. And he needs a lot of work on rebound which will require a lot of training, i.e. take away from the IS or other inside skills. So if I had to choose two skills to focus on, knowing you might only get 7-8 pops, I would focus on those two skills inside (ID & REB) and then a few pops on the outside.

Here are a few conservative estimates of what you could build:
RNG PF: 12/7/8/9/12/13 - 10/13/13/8
IS Scorer: 12/7/8/9/13/13 - 13/13/9/8
Def SF: 12/7/13/9/12/13 - 11/13/7/8

Rambo thanks a lot....this will give me a guide to work with for now. May build these 2 skills up and sale him or see how it works with the flow of what i want to try with a couple offenses.
