Thx guys!

I saw a post that for RaG a good defence is Full Court Press...but I have never tried that before. I tried 1-3-1 and slow tactics once against a better guy before and it worked... I won.

real quick: there are two variables to tactics, speed and focus. Run and gun is a fast, outside tactic. So, to counter it, you need a fast outside defense. The two best suited to this are FCP and 1-3-1.

FCP- forces lots of turnovers, but will give up many baskets if they can beat the press. Risky and tires your guys out for offense

1-3-1- Fast and helps contest outside shots, but gives up ALOT of rebounds.

Solution? 3-2, if you are good enough. Helps preserve rebounds while providing outside defense. IMO, 1-3-1 loses a lot of rebounds and doesn't give a lot more OD, in one case just two sublevels, while bringing down my RB 6 sublevels. So, if you think you can run a 3-2. If you think you need to, run a 1-3-1. And if your guys have terrific stamina, run a FCP.

Just MHO.

Its just like Packer said It depends what you want theres many options. Its up to you to choose, and see which tactics your opponent uses and counter it with the right Defence and Offense.

well they need to update there engine then. Then all 1-3-1 can do is stop the outside shot and it plugs up the middle.

I set up 1-3-1 and Low Post. I managed to won that game with the difference of 30 points... maybe the ethusiasm helped me here as I try to keep it at high lvl.

Thanks to all of you. I think if you have advantage on the rebounds, the 1-3-1 is a good idea.

The 1-3-1 can do many things to help you out. It can help stop the 3pt shots, stop the penetration, and can set sum traps anywhere on the court. I love this defense. I actually use this when I coach.

The major drawback is the poor rebounding
