Or maybe you are totally wrong.
Don't blame you for not knowing how to use correctly 2-3 zone.

see the other side of that situation..how cool is that for LI teams that are user out there who tellin around that a fine defense option to stop ur/our offense isnt workin :-)

im pleased with that and sayin YES 23 is still BS..the only way to defend LI teams is using a 32 defense against it!!!!

I believe you are right! The ultimate defense against LI is 3-2, or M2M if you think your ID is high enough.

:D

I am of the same opinion. By playing 3-2 you put some pressure on outside players, effectively cutting some of their passing power and isolate their bigs on some extent. It's true you lose a bit on rebounding, but this is a minor sacrifice comparing to 2-3's non existing outside defense.

Hope these ideas spread rapidly trough B3 teams.

I don't think the extra pressure on guards really pays off the monumental lack of ID you get with 3-2. Altough, if your ID is really lower than your opponents inside attack (this is the case where 2-3 is raped down the rim, without considering the extra assits and better outside scoring), you could say it's better to try 3-2. Since your big mens are gonna be outplayed no matter what, you can at least try to lose with better difference by stoping their guards (playing 3-2 against a decent team with superior inside attack is a lost game in my view).

Wait, wait...I didn't say I'd exclusively play 3-2 over M2M against LI teams. M2M is still the best option if you want to control who defends who. But if your inside players are stronger than his, I think 3-2 is a smart choice.

Wait a bit man, first let me build my team and compete with the best in D.I and hopefully B3 one day...and then you will see if I have any chance or not

In the meantime, the best example I can offer you is this:

(39910796)

I normally don't play Low post (I'm a fan of PtB), but I didn't want to give him many possessions by playing a fast tactic and my offensive flow is good enough. Obviously not if you are checking Match ratings only, but that's because I played a 19y old trainee on PG.

Inside isolation? You mean Inside box-and-one?

can u explain me one thing correctly? Whats wrong with 2-3?

to me it seems work well, same as 3-2...

in 3-2 u nad weaker ID and RB
in 2-3 u have weaker OD but better ID and RB

imo playing outside atack is good, becouse when your opponents try to stop u they need to play 3-2 and then they had weaker ID and RB. So u dont need very good C/F to have still RB and same lvl as your opponent.

for example

1) LI/3-2 vs 2) Motion/2-3

1 team need to have really good RB becouse they play 3-2, they 2) dont need to have good RB they recive bonus from 2-3.
and bonus to defense is same in 2-3 (to ID) and in 3-2 (to OD). So summary u have more bonuses from 2-3 than in 3-2.

if im wrong i will be glad if someone will explain it to me, whats really wrong with 2-3, why u are saing that its not working.

I think inside box and one can stop a LI. I have two examples from this season, when I played a LP vs. a 2-3 or inside box and one.

2-3
(39470036)

Inside box and one
(39470060)

Against the 2-3 zone, my team had slightly less in inside scoring vs their inside defense. However, I scored 120 points. My team also shot about 58% from the court.
Against the inside box and one, my team had much better inside scoring vs their inside defense. I only scored 83 points that game. My opponent had a 4k C starting and a 27k PF. Somehow they were able to stop my 58k and 12k C and PF respectively.

Inside Bow and One was put into the game not too long ago. There is probably not much information about it, but I think it is defiantly a strong inside defense that was meant to be another option to stop LI offenses.
