My own opinion is that the biggest disadvantage that new players to the game face is a lack of knowledge of the game.

After 19 seasons in the game Im still learning, but if I had of acquired all the knowledge required by now, I would have got bored and given the game away.

So putting knowledge on a plate for new starters has a double edge sword to it.

As for the suggestion of speeding the game up, so that trainees can train quicker, I have 3 trainees at the moment who I have given single position training to for 5 and 6 seasons.

If the game was sped up, you also have to consider that players will age quicker and also start to decline quicker.

So again speeding the game up for training purposes has positives and negatives

Sorry Mr Glass but wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.

I disagree with a better draft, this has been discussed many times and the fact that everyone gets a better draft would just cheapen better potential nullifying having better players. I also disagree with more money when starting. All that would lead would be more money thrown at bad players many newcomers do not know what a good players is, there would be even more reason to daytrade. My very first advice to any newcomer is "Do not spend your money right now, you'll make mistakes- Gm perpete

A 19 year old with all star potential is already worth $1k how will changing the median point of the the draft reduce their value?

How will more 19 year old all stars reduce the value of 18 year old $4k HoFers?

How is giving new teams nothing better than a bad 20 yearold making them identify with their team?

I did not want more money for new teams, just more scouting points in a better draft which later in your post you bizarrely seem to agree with.

Welcome and a great post as you can see three balls for you. Fantastic that you introduced the game to your U19s well done. I manage a basketball academy with about 40 guys (and two girls) in it maybe I should tell them about it one week.

Whether a good idea or not there is no chance of changing to a four day week. I also think a lot of people do like the low pressure of the game, log on once or twice a week for a few minutes each time. It can be a low maintenance game.

It would help smaller nations with better NT players, I fail to see how that is a bad thing. I constantly say I do not want the ratio of the best players changed, just the ratio of worthless 6th men and below radically reduced from 50% of the draft to 20%.

So I agree with your point about more draft points for new teams (and a better quality draft) but the 4 day week just isn't a realistic possibility.

Thanks for your great feedback and ideas.

Thats not my quote thats gm perpete quote. I told him I dis agreed with that quote. lol

I said draft for new team should be automatic with a good amount money/ points to get good player they can build around or already have a young star on team. That the BB system gives them automatic. which is below that quote og the Gm

For the 1st season.

I was half expecting to cop a warning or be kicked out of the game for starting this thread and quoting some statistics on the drop off in active Managers both overall and for several countries.

Quite happy that I got a discussion starter acvhievement instead.

A couple more figures;

Mexico had 99 Managers and is now down to 73
Nippon had 38 Managers and is now down to 30
New Zealand 64 Managers and is now down to 48
Scotland 32 Managers and is now down to 23
Crna Gora 82 Managers and is now down to 67
Belarus 120 Managers and is now down to 95.

Have the owners of the game expressed any concern in the drop off of numbers which surely must be greater than they expected, and have they given any indications that they will be taking proactive steps to arrest the decline in numbers which has occurred over the last 6 months?

you really think this is a mean dictature here. It's just a kind dictature.

Kind is so much nicer than mean.

With the drop off in numbers im getting closer to world supremacy each day, despite the fact I will probably relegate this season

A player is only valuable relative to the value of other players, so the more valuable 19 year olds are, the less valuable 18 year old $4k HoFers are.

Dont think you fully comprehend the "laws of relativity"

I don't have a said cure to stop the madness of the game drop off numbers. If they think everything is ok. then everything is ok.

The way I learned it was" if you care you speak up for the better of it, if you don't care. you say nothing and go about your business". So I think what your doing a very good thing.

Me personally i think the stubbornness not to scale back LI/lp balance is going to be this game down fall. A small scale back will not make anyone leave. I think a lot of long time managers would open up more on the game tactic wise, the market better in diversity of players to buy and sell. The money top teams and all teams are losing every years from not selling a motion guard and r&g pait, O iso player is just absurd, a bad basic guard in those tactics is 44k$ a week .you need a very expensive guard to be effective in outside offense tactics, the win don't come easy either, its just millions of dollars wasted or not attained but needed every season for a lot of teams.

I think the BB guys don't how to handle that, they got the market so close to their chest and want thing in certain order. I don't see how allowing outside team to make money is bad thing it still very ,very expensive to attain In order to good outside team it takes 3-5 seasons still there is no sure win with a outside teams,. li maybe 1season you'll see great success. That's just my opinion, not a fact or anything.

The opportunity to get a second team would put many countries from zero to he..., um, well maybe "okay" - I would join a micronation if it was possible and I would be very happy if we had more teams in Austria. I love all my fellow countrymen (no homo), but a fresh breeze would be very welcome. If we could get like 10% of the current userbase join a second nation that would be uber-awesome.

Spot on.
It was done with success in a similar game (based around football). For me (and I suspect other micronation users) it would be an opportunity to join a bigger nation (I'd probably start up a team in my native Australia).
You'd revitalize the game.
