I was just going to let Jason assume he was right and keep screwing up his GS. Wouldn't be surprised if he still does think he was right.

No problem...I'll assume that, you go ahead and get players 45 minutes a week once in a while to balance out high minutes ;)

Does GS has any connection to age?

for myself, i think i have found
(a) that the minutes guide changes over the course of the season -- i think more minutes are considered beneficial early in the season, detrimental later in the season.
(b) that getting players with high stamina to the highest level in GS is difficult and twitchy
(c) GS training is very powerful.

i hope Ozone answers because he has mastered GS -- by this time of the season, it is the rare player on his squad whose GS is not proficient.

After reading the rest of the thread, I think we all are waiting for Mr. Glass to put the matter to rest.

there's a bunch of teams lurking in that summary that i think are either playing really well (TKI has won five straight), or has been hurt by untimely injuries (the Stags and TnT), or has assembled a formidable squad (Pappy). i also think EDH will be fun once they lose in the Cup and turn that specialized lineup onto league opponents.

tonight, it dawned on me the advantage the game gives to teams that can shoot free throws. i had a single-digit lead against the Marauders late in the fourth, which means foul time -- but my team has been good for 80%+ this season, so the AI strategy of fouling actually helps me preserve the lead. its like bringing mariano rivera to save a game -- i will happily exchange an 80% of hitting two free throws (1.6 pts. per possession) as opposed to a 35% chance of scoring against BM's defense (.7 pts per possession). for the first time, i realized a six - eight point lead with less than two minutes to go is money in the bank.

i don't claim to be original -- i noticed from BuzzerManager that half-a-dozen teams hit 80%, so others have already figured this out. )

what are the chances Cornelius Eckert wins the league MVP this season? his numbers are very impressive (aside from leading the league in scoring and rebounding, he is even averaging 3.5 assists a game, has few turnovers and fouls, and shoots 61%) but he does play for a team that is struggling to avoid relegation or last place. i saw he was second last season, but that was for a conference champion (i understand the MVP vote occurs before the playoffs).

I can afford to build a competitive team around him but it's hard to say no to a 340K profit per week

just wanted to point out that Ozone is having a great run in the B3 tourney (undefeated after 6 games) and is now ranked 12th in the world.

Despite incredible numbers, I don't think he has a chance. I believe the success of the team is too important in the MVP equation. I'll present my case study and evidence:

Michele Bello
Season 29: 19.4 ppg, 0.567 fg%, 12.6 rpg, 3.8 apg Team Result: 9th Overall Voting Result: Not on ballot
Season 30: 20.0 ppg, 0.550 fg%, 12.7 rpg, 3.7 apg Team Result: 3rd Overall Voting Result: Unanimous MVP

I'll be the first to acknowledge this reasoning isn't 100% sound. It also depends on how many good players have great stat lines combined with the success of their respective teams. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it can be very situational from season to season. Even though my guy was consistent for those two seasons, Kristijan Matijašević (22.6 ppg, 15.1 rpg) was way better in S29 and Tucumcari won the championship. However, I would think Michele Bello would have gotten at least one vote? I'd like to know if there has ever been an MVP from a struggling team, but I'm way too lazy to find out for myself.
