Congrats on a fine season, and I'm sorry it ends tonight. We've had a couple of good battles on your court this season and I was lucky enough to win this time. I'm not sure the match up with Vecx suits me at all but we will carry the fight on and see how far we get

I thought Ronso had this season but the old Tallfellas have done it again! Congrats to you both to be fair on both a fine game but also an amazing season. Looking forward to next season already!!! In the mean time I am extremely surprised to see how well my team did, albeit the double GDP helped, even so, I really didnt expect that result and I am praying for good gameshape after the update. Onwards to the playoffs, congrats to the victors tonight and commiserations to all those that lost, especially those fighting in the relegation playoffs.

Elmacca with 12 wins might end up being the lowest win/pd team with hca in the finals!

Didn't stand a chance with the double GDP guess, well played mate. Good luck in the next round :) The English El Classico of the big 8 in the conference finals appears again.

That would be nuts. Not a great season to be a top seed in the playoffs...

Well after this GS update I'd call the matchups like this (hope I won't jinx it for anyone):
- Lidl @ Tide of Fire: advantage Lidl (GS over hca)
- Stinkies @ Camborne: advantage Camborne (hca)
- Sabre @ Erks: Erks wins the series (hca and GS)
- Atletas @ Arsenal: Atletas wins the series (very good GS update vs poor one over hca)
- Doncaster @ Ashington: hard to say, it will go to the tiebreaker. Hard to call this one between better GS (Doncaster) and hca (Ashington). Crunching the first game might come back to hurt Ashington. I'd go with better GS probably.

BC Atletas has the best team DMI of all remaining teams followed by Elmacca. They are the only teams with meaningful games to play with a DMI over 10 million. Arsenal, Tide of Fire and Ashington are all below 5.8 million.

Of course there are tactics and GDP to consider and injuries are still possible, so there's that too.

Good luck everyone.

Good analysis, think I have to agree with all of it. Most of the games should be competitive/interesting at least.

On my GS - yeah really disappointed, I'm definitely in a lot of trouble now, not sure how I pull off a win. I'll break it down:
Pako - 57 mins last week, 2.6m dropped to 1.3m (74, 75 mins the two weeks previously. With a massage trainer fwiw)
Amberger - 66, 1.2m drop to 850 (69, 72)
Zivo - 60, kept his 9 GS (79, 74)
Lelarge - 63, drop from 370 to 330 (72, 67)
Sleiman - 66, rise from 200 to 258 (bought him with really low GS a few weeks ago. 63 last week). Slow growth.
Burrows - 82!, but he rose from 384 to 394, ha (62, 61 previously)

Think I've been a little unlucky in places, not sure why Lelarge and Burrows have been lurking around low 8s the past few weeks, and wouldn't have expected Pako/Amb drops today. Shrug! If I knew the results of the GS update beforehand I probably woulda trained it.

Good luck to all the semifinal teams, I didn't expect to be here coming into the playoffs.
If I do end up with a trophy I'll be disappointed I didn't play my mascot/former EBBL champ Ronald Corcoran any minutes this season so he can be credited on the career stats page.

Totally agree, gameshape update didn't go well, surprised I did as well as I did this season. Having Innes at near terrible GS makes it a loss unless I get a GDP miracle. Hit and hope. Expecting a loss tho so good luck elmacca!
