I see myself as the underdog here based on the playoff showings, impressive wins by lemon. Lets see how the first game goes, should be interesting.

Cheers, I’ll try to win game 3 (prediction roulette), but I will follow Lemon’s suggestion and take relegation as an opportunity to do a better job of rebuilding should the likely happen.

I wouldn’t make Vecx the underdog btw.....although I think this might be the best red team he’s had to play in a finals. Home court is home court.

Agree and he has the highest TSP per player than any team in the EBBL despite the low payroll. However Elmacca has shown that primaries are important and can get the job done although they cost more.

If Vecx managed to get garbage time or a good minute distribution against Ronso I'd think this would be very hard for me. As it is, I think I have possibly a better chance than in the other finals I played in the past.

Also Ma had 6 skill drops this season and Vadikolias had 0 (I think he has the same skills he had at 32). Vecx has 3 guys over 36 so it may be also down to our respective luck on Friday.

Wow, Park was the last to win from the red side...15 seasons ago.

I note what you say about primaries. I think it's more about respecting the game design, that it supports multiple ways to win. If you are trying to reproduce winning path A, that's a tall order when the pathfinder is still around killing it like Vecx does. It's more about finding paths b, c, d and so on. And knowing exactly what kind of production you are paying your salary dollars for against what level of opponent.

Well, lately it has been either the team with the highest (or one of the highest) salaries (you) or the one with the highest TSP (Vecx). There is no problem with that and of course you could do both at the same time http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/146725/players.aspx.

The first game of these season's finals was always about forcing Vecx's players into 90+ minutes rather than showing how I'm thinking of dealing his setup featuring multiple SFs and the PG to C defensive switch. It worked out fine. Now I need a little luck on Friday, trusting that they really reduced the effectiveness of Game Shape training. It may still be not enough, but we'll see.

I guess 700k+ doesn't feel high to me, it's considerably less than I've carried before when I was trying to go deep in B3.
700k to me represents paying a premium for certain primaries over pure wage efficiency - my Utopia team is far more 'efficient' for instance but I expect to get smashed in Heaven next year (should I win one more game and get there, anyway) because at some point you have to pick n choose how you go beyond that.

It's fun watching you work anyway, hope your plan comes together.

Of course :)

But wow, even at 9/10 ST Purovic going from 775k DMI to 1058k is pretty good. I'm surprised you didn't play Orec in the scrimmage and left him on 48 minutes.

Well, better GS update for me, maybe this time I have a chance! Maybe

In some sense I'm rooting for you as it would be nice to see a red winner and much better for the ebbl to see more balance (no offence to any team intended). I don't know what it is about the blue side, but it seems overly dominant and has been for a long long time.

You definitely have more GS on the DMI, but I've run the whole season with lower dmi than most, it looks like my salaries are going to be around the 450k mark next season... Lol!

I don't know I think the red side teams never really committed to winning it all: people haven't gone all in and often keep their feet in 2 shoes (training while trying to avoid relegation). I, for one, have always been training at least 2 guys and often young ones too. I think I may lose interest in the game and quit without training any player.

In any case yes DMI is not everything because it is more linked to salary than TSP (which I'm sure your guys have plenty of, except maybe for the PG who seems a poor man's peak Widerstrom), but it does point to lower GS levels and sublevels.

Gajewski and Ciming are my key guys in this matchup and they are in top GS, so I am more upbeat than the last couple of times I reached the finals, but there is really no shame in losing to any of the blue winners of the last 15 seasons.
