this is a dream.

are you willing to train your C 2 or 3 seasons out off position to get to level 10 OD and 10 PS?

and i forgot to mention 8 or higher JR too off course.

The difference between good and great players is out of position training. So, yes that is what I would expect of any national team player.

than i cant wait for you to start training such players... if any prospects come along, i will be sure to let you know. but if you cant handle high salaries than it is better you start with 18 and 19 year old ones. because the bigs we have now on the NT need alot off secondary training, but I doubt you can handle their salary.

Happy to help. Yeah, it works much better if you start with the out of position training.

I gave a quicly look at everything you wrote.I don't understand the real reason if discussion...maybe sands pearson.
Well the only thing I would say about the train of inside guys is this thing:
in my opinion players like Sands Pearson could be only Center that needs some improvements in outside skills.
There's a big difference between PF and C. PF need a lot of JS ,alittle OD could be good some DR pass and also IS ID REB etc etc and if he does not this things ,he's a Center.
I believe that to be competitive with other teams , a center should be trained first of all in his primary skills IS ID REB until a good level.(if you look at the transfermarket ,there are a lot of players with 17 17 17 in IS ID REB that don't stay in NT).
So the good level in my opinion are about 17-18 to start to be more competitive(the problem could be salary but there are some coaches ready to train this players with high salary)
After that he could be train in outside skills..... 1 vs1 to improve JS DR HD and some JS.
England can have a player like this

JS10-11 (I don't know skills of Sands but with 1-2 year train he can reach this level) JR xxx
OD5-6 DR 8-9
HD 8-9 Pass 6
IS 18 or more ID 17
REB 18 BS 0 ;D

(this values are invented,I don't know skills of Sands Pearson but I believe that a player like this could be a Good Center that sometimes you can use like PF.

Random side note, while we're talking of outside skills on inside players. Passing is actually more important on C's than on PF's, just so everyone knows I guess.

when i saw 33 unread messages on this post (any UK post in long time?) my eyes almost popped out!

its nice to see a few managers who feel strongly about NT argue out their cases, though i think between them all there are probably quite a few similarities, even though they might not admit it :)

i really appreciate it when a coach puts a lot of time and work into what he does as this is the most precious thing he can give. with the help of his staff there is no reason why he cant boost player development in the community, develop tactics, strategies etc etc and everyone covers each others weaknesses.

what i would like to see is us to build a database of active managers that would be interested in helping the NT or U21 in some way - and in particular managers with a proven track record of consistent training who want to coordinate to help breed a better qualiy of player.

i am certainly one of those. I am committed to training outside players, but i would not have a problem training an SF/PF/C in outside skills to round them out a bit or a lot. I would rather do this with an english player, but they are quite hard to find when i have certain age/skill/potential expectations - and this is before the price tag!

it will take some time to get enough managers together but with a bit of work i think we can start finding players homes. Worst case would be taking on guys of different shapes at 18 and 19 and doing their "opposite" skills first rather than 21+ and finishing them off with their secondries/opposite skills.

im vey happy to see a couple new managers pop up and say very good things. lets keep it going.

ive been working quite hard to get new staff members going at the u21 level and contributing. if there is anyone else out there, that wants to help get in touch...

and training them big skills (SFs)

i didnt list him because i felt asking price is a bit too high, but he could be one day a very nice player. only problem is his superstar potential, which on the long run for a big is too low.
