Maybe there will be another flood of data by the next salary update. I'm pretty sure my player capped and am only waiting for 2 more weeks of training and his new salary.

Wolph had the same line of thinking and I replied to him. Here is his original post: (155261.58).

Just to be clear: I am not using salary as an indicator if a player is capped. For me, seeing a training history is the only way to know. There are some cap estimates out there using salary, but they vary wildly. So at best, salary only gives a rough guide. I do not know if that is just because of sub-levels on potential or for some other reason. That is the reason for this exercise.

I knew you don't use salary as an indicator, but I assumed you also make some calculations to figure out which maximum salary fits to a certain potential. Anyway, I want to give him a little more training just to be sure:)

I just found this thread - a really nice idea to work on such a big issue. I'd really love to contribute a capped player but I guess I'll have to wait another 2 seasons for my first player to cap. But I'm spreading word that you're looking for more data ... hopefully you'll get enough to work with in a good way.

I think I might be able to contribute the data of a balanced SF after the all-star break, very interesting project, I am exicted to see the results :D

Sounds great. New data is always welcome. But rare data points are even more welcome.

Since people started asking Joseph Ka in the other thread to start investigating skill caps, I guess people have already forgotten about this study! Yes, I have taken some time off. I am going to wait until I have at least 100 data points before saying anything further. And at the current pace - I am guessing it will be at least another two seasons before I will be talking again.

By the way, this has been a bit of a frustrating excercise, since it has been a lot of work for very little return so far. But rest assured that I am still working on it and I will continue to do so until I have solid answers. However, I need the community's support, there is no getting around that.

I haven't forgotten about your study, but I also think Ka's statistics and training help gould be greatly improved by taking the cap into account. So I would like this study to succeed as soon as possible. Why don't you just combine your data with Josef Ka to get there faster and help the community?
