Does the first person to get knocked out of the cup win a special prize?

They were good last season too. Plus they've got a stacked good roster.
As of right now, Purdue has 9 players making over $30k & an average salary over $39k.

Last season just had horrible imbalance between conferences. The 8th place Great 8 team probably would have made the playoffs in the Big 8. Move that last Big 8 playoff team to the Great 8 & they would have relegated, no doubt.

But what's with Big 8 teams spending so much $? 3 Big 8 teams have payrolls over $470k... (you pay close to $200k less than the top team.)

So the visiting team has 10 fouls in the 1st quarter. I have 3 maybe.
Then part way through the 2nd quarter I have 10 fouls. He has 1.

Again, what is this??

To get this straight, a team knowing that everything is a foul keeps committing foul after foul anyway. Then the other team, seeing how tightly the game is being called suddenly decides to commit 10 fouls of their own? While the first team does a 180 & suddenly controls themselves after not being able to earlier??

Why can't they just let players play? This is beyond dumb.

That's why I asked what was up with Big 8 spending. You're actually 8th in total salary, so right at average. Though your average player salary -- $29k -- is below average.

Lowest Average Salary: Flashers $17k, Milwaukee Lethargy $20k, Phoenix Fletchers $25k
Highest Average Salary: Jack Rabbits $44k, ATL The Hawks $39k, Purdue Boilers $39k
Median Average Salary: $32k
Highest Total: Manhattan Beach Metal Detectors $512k
Lowest Total: Flashers $246k
Median Total: $389k
