Marin insulted me and Perpete had to amend his post when we had a row on Free Agency

Must be nice to create stories and hope it will stick with some users...

I had difficulties to imagine how you would fare if the positions were reversed.

Two members of staff have insulted me so its not hard to believe. I have difficulty imagining how I would fare if I went around insulting staff.

You should remember I'll go and check if I still the have the bb-mail we exchanged Perpete.

Edit: Thanks to Wolph and several GMs' correspondence I don't have the bb-mail anymore, but I will find the post that you amended on my request and I expect your apologies for calling me a liar. This will serve nicely to show wracap that what I said about remembering things isn't just a random rant.

Man, I must say that thread that Mike Franks started was epic, so wild. I wonder what happened to Mike Franks, you managed to break him in the end? He was such a zealous supporter of the staff at the beginning, but you managed to turn him into one of the harsher critics. Seen that pattern several times. I also managed to get Marin to admit that he mislead the entire userbase (which he had vehemently denied to the point of verbal abuse towards me in the bugs thread), but he stopped short of admitting that he simply lied because he wanted to push his agenda (270734.98).

I admit now that the newspost is partly misleading and should have been written better. It was a mistake on my part and I stand by it, because I'm only human and not being a native speaker definitely didn't help. The accusations that this was intentional and part of some deception and a conspiracy don't even garner a response from me. I should have mentioned that the free agent numbers will dwindle across the board with the exception of very young ones, which are making their debuts. The responsibility for the misunderstanding is mine alone.

This is also to set the record straight about the good guys who cared about the game and understood what was going on. I claimed back then that:
a) the devs were sneakily introducing a widespread cut to all FAs. This was repeatedly and violently denied both by Marin and several GMs, before Marin changed his tune and admitted to it;
b) that the near total removal of FA was bad for the economy, bad for the mood of the userbase (who was complaining about high prices all the time), bad for talent and in particular bad for training, boosting which was the stated goal of the changes (yes the hypocrisy ran deep in BB at the time).

I've seen 31yo+ free agents with TSP in the 70s lately...funny, how things change...

In fact, Perpete, since your post (284063.73) is actually spreading false information about me as I told the truth, why don't you amend it?

Sadly, it will your word against mine on that one. I can look back a lot more than 100 BB-Mails and you didn't contact me during that period (seems like our first BB-Mail exchange was in September 2015).

I can't say for sure what I changed in Marin message, but if that was insults, I would remember it and since it had stayed up close to 48 hours, others would remember too. There was probably things to change/remove since I did it, but insults that wasn't.

You can only see what was written if you delete the post entirely? Ok. It was personal enough or off topic enough for you, a GM, to feel like you should listen to me and delete part of Marin's, the only active BB back then, post.

Also time stamps: I requested the amendment at 1.42. You posted at 1.50 referring to the wrong post. I'm pretty sure post 156 where I corrected my initial wrong reference was also mine and was posted between 1.51 and 1.56. You can check this since you deleted it entirely. You changed Marin's post at 1.56. It took you 1 to 6 minutes to agree that Marin's post was not acceptable or off topic and to act. So much for your 48 hours (which really were more like 32 anyway). I did not request Marin's personal attack to be deleted until I noticed my reply (post 151) had been deleted.

Now, if you wish to keep discussing about BB communication, moderation and year old thread, that would be better to do so on the "Is BB dying thread" (at least that thread isn't). I hope we can agree that this current discussion has nothing to do with fan boycott.

I didn't bring this into this thread, you did. You accused me of lying and I think I have the right to defend myself here. Now since you say the evidence doesn't prove things either way (because of all the edits) we should probably agree to change both posts. I shall change 'insults' into 'harsh words' and you will change what you wrote about me.

Otherwise I ask you to provide proof that I lied or misrepresented things and that there was no ad hominem in Marin's post. This side story ends here and we can move on talking about this silly boycott change. Thank you.

Sub 100 TSP centers under 30 years go for more than 2.5 million these days.

100 TSP guards under 30 go for 2.5 mil to 3.6 million.

That is not the standard you can make big leaps in DIV I.

Look at this: (278359.175). Someone needs to tell us if this is the kind of transcendent talent that would warrant a 35% drop in gate receipts (i.e. ~$180k drop in D1) because buying him will allow us to win more games.

Is this even allowed? In every other game I play posting a private message from another user is grounds for a ban, moderator or not.

After this I'd say the BBs and staff have stepped even lower than ever before. What's the point of having staff if they are the ones being negative, reacting arrogantly and violently to criticism and if they are not following the rules themselves?

I think we have reached a point, where suggestions aren't even read anymore. Things went bad, when BB-Ryan left the staff, I had the impression, that the communication and the whle atmosphere of the game were at an all time high with him on board. He even engaged in the "honest discussion about censorship"-thread.

I was pretty close calling the staff idiots when the recent changes were announced and I am still extremely pissed off because the timing of the announcement was - in my opinion - pure trolling and malignance. Maybe I only feel like that because it hit me like a freight train and messed up my whole plan for the next few seasons.

All in all, the game is in a very bad state. The rot starts at the top and the beginning was, when BB-Charles went awol and bot, without the other BB or staff noticing it. Maybe Ryan can come back and straighten the ship, I would very much appreciate it.
