As promised...Power Rankings after interleague play...

1. D-City Smokers - The number one team in the league lost tonight, but they played a tough road game and also put in less enthusiasm. Look for them to finish strong.

2. Eggies - The Eggies certainly made their case tonight as the best team in the league, but I think on a neutral court with equal enthusiasm, they lose a nail biter to the Smokers.

3. Sockdologizers - They have clearly established themselves as at LEAST the #2 team in the Big 8. Can beat anybody on the right night.

4. Dinkle Smurfs - MUCH better than their 8-7 record indicates IMO. I look for them to lock up the #3 spot in the Big 8 by seasons end.

5. Tucumcari Whalers - Strong team! The Whalers lost tonight to a desperate team in need of a win. Still doesn't take away from the amazing season they've had, and will continue to have.

6. Tallahassee Trees - Injuries, injuries, injuries! This is a top 3 team when healthy, but they just haven't been. A real darkhorse in the playoffs if they can just keep their players on the court!

7. Diamantes - Slugging it out in the difficult Big 8. Diamantes is right there with the better teams. Can they get over the hump and make the playoffs?

8. The Brewskies - Very talented team that is starting to make it's case as the #1 threat to the Smokers in the Great 8.
Great owner.

9. PV Pride - DEFENSE! Same issues as earlier in the season. They can play lock down D, but may not be able to score enough to truly compete.

10. Sir Chewbacca - I really like this team. I feel like they should have a better record than they do. Just need to prove it on the court.

11. California Knights - Have really turned some heads in the last several games. Childress is amazing when he plays, and the role players (John Candy, Newt Gingrich, Margaret Thatcher, and the Olsen Twins) have REALLY stepped up!

12. Sandy Springs Basketball Club - Really desperate times for SSBC. If they don't get their act together FAST they could get relegated.

13. Big Man Inc. - See SSBC. Need to start winning games NOW. Tough go of it in the Big 8.

14. Bacon Hill Beavers - Solid first season in DIII, but appear to be headed for relegation.

15. wilcats - Woke up from a month long nap to shock Tucumcari Whalers tonight. Ultimately...not sure what this win does for them, but at least the fans are happy for a night.

16. Thunderdogs - 0-14. Can't seem to find a formula to win. Almost certainly headed for relegation.

Spot-on yet again. I have a feeling that the Tallahassee Trees and Chewbacca will end up higher in the final rankings than they are now. Really impressed with the depth of the league this season.

I like how highly you guys rate me, but as things stand, we may not even make the playoffs! Hoping to squeak in as a 4 seed, ideally even a 3

Edit: insane how I still have the second-best PD in the Great 8, so that gives me some hope still that we've kept games close despite our injury woes

This game makes me want to murder kittens sometimes. "Strictly Follow Depth Chart" couldn't be further away from the truth. It's always been a major flaw with the game. I'm really trying to get some training minutes in this week, and there's no F-ing way my backup PG should be playing PF for the entire 4th quarter. Not in any universe.

I was also hoping to get my backups SOME minutes in the 3rd quarter. I'm playing a fast paced offense, all 5 of my starters' stamina sucks (this is intentional), and my starters played all 12 minutes in the 3rd. That should just never happen. There were 3 instances where a player tried to grab the rebound, but the ball went out of bounds. That is apparently not good enough to warrant a substitution.

The powers that be are wondering why the game is losing users. That in itself is mind boggling. Oh well...at least our players have some really cool jerseys they can wear!

They termed that jersey update as "major." That should tell you all you need to know about the trajectory of this game.

The same GE issues that plagued this game when I started in season 12 are the same issues we're dealing with now. Sometimes I'm not sure why I'm still playing this game.

What does everyone think about the new staff members? I really like the idea of a secondary trainer, but I don't have any 18-19yo players that I'm training right now. Wish he would give the whole team a boost.

I'm actually considering purchasing the sports psychologist for my playoff run.

No need at all for the nutritionist. I hate having high stamina players.

And I just pulled the trigger. Was able to get an advanced Sports Psychologist for 2k. Makes ~16k per week. Just going to keep him for the playoffs and fire him after the season. We'll see if he really makes a difference in Game Shape.

Damn, do I have to hire a second trainer just for my trainees? That's all I really use my main trainer for anyway. Not a huge fan of the new staff members so far, just because the secondary trainer seems to overcomplicate things a bit. Just my first impression though

The 3 new staff members are just optional. The Secondary Trainer only gives 18 and 19yo players an extra boost. I think that's too limited. I would seriously consider purchasing one if he gave every player a boost, regardless of age.

Totally agree. I see now that he only trains 18 and 19 year olds, and since my one trainee is about to finish his 19 year old season, that limited amount of time is not worth the ridiculous signing bonuses these guys are getting.
