I think that player with the same skills as yours AND with good SB cost that much more, because they are simply THAT much better. You can't realy compare it, but I'm sure that if you square them off against each other, your player will always loose the battle to a more multiskilled player... Maybe others might think otherwise, but that is how I see it.
Also at those high levels of skills, sublevels indeed start to weight hard on the wage. It's very well possible your player is prety low on all of his skills, while the other players you saw are high in their skills, and have the additional SB to add to their wage...

I'm not very sure, but I think you base your 'facts' on a little to few information. I'm positive SB doesn't weigh any harder then any other skill on the wages. Ofcourse a center will ask more wage for shotblocking then a PG would, but so will a PG ask a lot more wage for his handling then the center will.

So far I didn't see any info about SB being excessively expensive on wage, not even with your examples.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Well Prodigious RB and Lvl 2 SB = unbelievable... any Prodigious with a couple of Proficients/Prominents is soon going to stack up... and on his RB alone I think that guys wages seem to be correct....

Ok, I got your point. As a real time coach myself I have to admit that shotblocking is not something I would make a practice plan for. Shotblocking has a lot to do with the players evaluation for and reaction to the situation of his opponent wanting to take a shot. And that is what you practice when you do defense drills drills. So I have to agree with you, that practicing shotblocking as an extra training is a little bit "incommon". So I would suggest to give an extra training that is based on reaction and reflexes, which trains stealing and blocking.

Which brings me to another point what I am missing in this game: the skill of Faking (shots, passes, cuts).

I guess it is already in the skills they have now.
For instance a player with high passing skills will also be able to fake a pass quite well...
