Was that money "excess?" The cups are shorter because space on the server was freed up by removing bot leagues. If there is less money to be had, that is a (fortunate) by-product.

In addition me and my small country peers will lose opportunities to build up game shape, which will lead to B3 becoming a big nation competition, just like the champions league in the real world.

That's off topic, and besides, you can have fine game shape without Cup games.

Rewarding teams for going semi-inactive and building up piles of money goes against the spirit of competitiveness.
Bravo! And that's where logic fails Marin once again. If what you say and I quoted here above is the purpose of the proposed changes then why not target tanking specifically? Would it be so difficult or unpopular to make proper tanking uneconomical?

It's very simple: you play with a team who are vastly cheaper and inferior to the competition and that's reflected in the W-L ratio? Then your fans will desert you. This happens in real life, too. BUT here's the catch: if you can stay at the salary floor, compete with mid level teams and train, then you should NOT be punished for making more money than your competition.

The last winner of the B3 made around $24 million from sales of players. If he replaced them one at a time he would have been completely unaffected by any change. Yay, more reasons to hold back on transfer listing...that's not going to be good for prices I don't think.

I wouldn't since I've never never had more than 2 million in my BB career.

However, if someone who has completed his arena is able to compete with minimum salary, he would be punished exactly the same way people who are actually tanking. If someone is able to accumulate cash while competing he shouldn't be affected by measures designed to tackle tanking.

This already happened for those measures designed for daytrading which impacted everyone (eg. people rebuilding etc).

So please, at least this time make it so that those who are actually trying are not treated the same way as those who couldn't care less and log in once a month.

because the level of the league/conference is low and it mean you are only making easy money and not compete like you could
This would normally be only true at the lowest level of leagues and in any case it would be a better situation than leaving tanking unchecked altogether. Besides I'm in favour of rebalancing leagues of the same level precisely to prevent those kind of tanking leagues.

You will never be able to prevent competing while being at the salary floor in leagues where you have a lot of bots anyway.

At any rate, I would like to stress that the problem is tanking, people not even trying to win or even losing on purpose to get a better draft position while cashing 200k per week.

People making money by achieving better performance from worse (or lower salary) rosters are not the problem. I hope we all agree on this.

While it's abundantly clear that efforts have been made to promote training, it is by no means a necessity. It is still very much possible to construct your team in any way that you see fit.

Riiiight. Try building a competitive team through the transfer market and report back. You'll see what so many people see, that it can no longer be done.
