When I started training Wedling I thought that his potential doubtlessly would be sufficient to become a really good SF but now the standard is so high that he "only" became mainly a 2nd-3rd choice despite such "high" potential. So it really is difficult to get a spot with lower than MVP potential nowadays. Remember the old days when Stefan Yngvesson was regular as SF with Perennial allstar despite many more users.

I still will do my best to train my 18 year old superstar for a future spot in the national team. He could even be better than Wedling as Wedling is only in mid-rage of the cap skill so it might be possible to train more to avoid cap. My other two U21 prospects will have no such future though as allstar and perennial allstar is pretty much impossible to have for a national team spot. I will have to settle with two seasons in the matchday squad for U21 for both of them.

I know a guy in this bunch. I doubt he will be anything though. Supporting swedish player is perfectly okey.

One thing i noticed during my tenure: training and trends go in waves.
When I took over, we had no good small forwards, played either a SG or a PF.
A few seasons later, we had 3 starting caliber SFs, all very balanced but without super edge anyhwere. But no true SGs. So its good that weve got more input as to whos training what now and more of a structure around the team.
Hultén also played alot for me but Killmar was already obsolete, an old dinosaur with a high salery :)

Today wa the last training od this season and it's again time to take an overview. The age is already one year higher (for season 40).

Player pool:
TSP = total skill points

Tjädermo (28622932), 35 years, PF/C, 131 TSP (-1). Let's take the ride for the (maybe) last NT season.

Fredriksson (30857798), 33 years, PG, 126 TSP (+0). With the upcoming of the new guards, his time will decrease.

Gijon (31909798), 32 years, C, 118 TSP (+0). Always in great shape and the main pillar for all our defense tactics.

Birgersson (33689846), 30 years, PF, 131 TSP (+0). He missed the last season but now he's back and ready. More or less the binding link between outside and inside.

Säfen (35350416), 28 years, SG, 129 TSP (+0). THE FORCE ;) A worldwide top 10 guard.

Sunesson (36171202), 28 years, G, 120 TSP (+1). Has to fight for his spot and it will depend on the tactics. But still part of the NT.

Stjärnland (36976134), 27 years, G/SF, 126 TSP (+4). Still not strong enough to close the gap to the top players, but plays some important minutes.

Dehllund (36171465), 28 years, C, 101 TSP (+6). Still waiting for his big game. One of our "tanks".

Lagerhall (36171154), 27 years, C, 107 TSP (+1). Surprised with his game and game shape. He is one of the main bigs for our game.

Smol (36975202), 27 years, G, 124 TSP (+4). He had a good season and changed the team. A lot will depend on his game shape and further developement.

Westerlund (36975313), 26 years, PF/C, 128 TSP (+5). He gives me still some unsolved problems. Coming from a fantastic game, he can collapse the next week against weaker player...

Lövlind (36975297), 26 years, G/F, 119 TSP (+5). Our defender works on his other skills. Very balanced and a hell of a supporting player.

Tjäderborg (36975226), 27 years, PF/C, 113 TSP (+6). His inside training pays of. His salary is a huge joke compaired to his skills.

Danielsson (37787598), 26 years, C, 108 TSP (+1). It looks like he capped. But still a strong big.

Johansson (37787040), 25 years, 120 TSP (+6). Currently somewhere between SF and on his way to a PF.

Falken (37787327), 25 years, PG, 104 TSP (+6). Moves towards a more defensive profile.

Tunglund (38588455), 24 years, G, 107 TSP (+9). Again a strong season. With his next step he will improve his current weakpoints.

Mikaelsson (39342977), 24 years, F, 90 TSP (+11).

Gustavsson (38588303), 24 years, G, 111 TSP (+7). With a huge leap, he is already Säfen's co guard. Fantastic offense and defense, and still progressing!

Martinsson (39342531), 23 years, G, 109 TSP (+11). The second young guard who is already knocking on the NT door. As soon as he gets in the NT, there will be three heavy skilled SGs ;)

Höstner (39342611), 23 years, SF, 107 TSP (+10). Great prospect, great developement.

Kindander (38588478), 25 years, G/SF, 102 TSP (+6). On the watch list.

Ahlhult (39342633), 23 years, G, 97 TSP (+5). It's time for the main skills.

Dehlflod (36975273), 27 years, G, 124 TSP (+3). He was a help last season and could play an important role.

Hammarstrand (36975203), 26 years, C, 107 TSP (+6). A very interessting supporting tank. Hard to play, but good to have ;)

Molen (40186543), 22 years, G, 97 TSP. Another young guard who trains fast and could end up as an factor in the NT.

The season is over and it's time to take a closer look. I already updated the age for season 41.

Player pool:
TSP = total skill points

Gijon (31909798), 33 years, C, 118 TSP (+0). Downs could start now. Let's see if he can stay in shape.

Birgersson (33689846), 31 years, PF, 131 TSP (+0). Back in action and one of the main bigs.

Säfen (35350416), 29 years, SG, 129 TSP (+0). Has finally his guards around him.

Sunesson (36171202), 29 years, G, 121 TSP (+1). Balanced but others surpassed him. He will play most of the time as a back up.

Stjärnland (36976134), 28 years, G/SF, 128 TSP (+2). Had huge game shape problems and could be demoted to a reserve role if this keeps on.

Dehllund (36171465), 29 years, C, 104 TSP (+3). One of three defense bigs.

Lagerhall (36171154), 28 years, C, 108 TSP (+1). One of the core bigs.

Smol (36975202), 28 years, G, 138 TSP (+14). The biggest surprise of the season. Had a fantastic training progress and is now the highest TSP in Sweden!

Westerlund (36975313), 27 years, PF/C, 128 TSP (+0). Great game shape and also a core big.

Lövlind (36975297), 27 years, G/F, 125 TSP (+6). Maybe the most balanced player in the NT. He will see more and more minutes now.

Tjäderborg (36975226), 28 years, PF/C, 117 TSP (+4). Highest ID of the NT and now finishing his offensive arsenal.

Danielsson (37787598), 27 years, C, 109 TSP (+1). Capped -.- On a good day one of our nastiest bigs.

Johansson (37787040), 26 years, 125 TSP (+5). His manager gives him the last ups now. He will be a great addition for our outside/inside combos.

Falken (37787327), 26 years, PG, 106 TSP (+2). Unfortunately little progress...

Tunglund (38588455), 25 years, G, 114 TSP (+7). His weaker side gets training. An interessting player.

Mikaelsson (39342977), 25 years, F, 99 TSP (+9).

Gustavsson (38588303), 25 years, G, 118 TSP (+7). The third heavy guard. Our backcourt is far from weak now...

Martinsson (39342531), 24 years, G, 117 TSP (+8). The defense is finished, now his offense gets its final touch.

Höstner (39342611), 24 years, SF, 114 TSP (+7). Future SF. Had a strong season.

Kindander (38588478), 26 years, G/SF, 109 TSP (+7). Balanced, but still not the right amount of skills to reach the NT.

Ahlhult (39342633), 24 years, SG, 104 TSP (+7). A well balanced guard moving to the SG skill set.

Dehlflod (36975273), 28 years, G, 124 TSP (+0). Capped, but fantastic as a back up.

Hammarstrand (36975203), 27 years, C, 116 TSP (+9). Maybe the best and purest outside C...

Molen (40186543), 23 years, G, 108 TSP (+9). Great defense, already strong guard skills and still so much potential left!

Svensson (35350361), 29 years, PF/C, 110 TSP. Our best RB with a little lack of defense. He should close the gap this season.

Jansson [player=], 24 years, PF/C, 99 TSP. One of the few young bigs. Let's hope for a strong developement.

Fallborn, (40186795), 23 years, 99 TSP. Somewhere a guard and a SF.

Klangbeck, (40186451), 23 years, G, TSP 92. The next guard enters the stage.

Hagelell, [player=], 22 years, TSP 94. Completely balanced.

There are two U21 guards who are not far behind this list. I think they will join the others after their U21 campaign in one season ;)

I took Tjädermo and Fredriksson from the list. I fear that both will go down this season and losing spots to these two could hurt us.

The season is over and it's time to take a closer look.

Player pool:
TSP = total skill points

Gijon (31909798), 34 years, C, 115 TSP (-3). He fell behind Hammarstrand. Just a back up solution for our defense bigs.

Birgersson (33689846), 32 years, PF, 131 TSP (+0). Last season before potential downs. Time to shine again.

Säfen (35350416), 30 years, SG, 129 TSP (+0). Our most reliable guard considering the points and assists. Without him, the beginning of last season was a mess.

Sunesson (36171202), 30 years, G, 121 TSP (+0). He will play most of the time as a back up.

Stjärnland (36976134), 29 years, G/SF, 129 TSP (+1). Still some problems with his game shape. But he is on the team.

Dehllund (36171465), 30 years, C, 104 TSP (+0). One of our defense bigs.

Lagerhall (36171154), 29 years, C, 108 TSP (+0). Mr. MVP One of the big group of Centers. Thanks to him and the others, this position is currently without any problems.

Smol (36975202), 29 years, G, 146 TSP (+8). What should I say? His TSP is sick, he has by far the highest one in Sweden. If he could score on the same level as Säfen, he would be a monster.

Westerlund (36975313), 28 years, PF/C, 128 TSP (+0). Mr. one half has to find his mojo and play the full game. Still a mystery why he has such different half times.

Lövlind (36975297), 28 years, G/F, 128 TSP (+3). He had some minutes last season and used them. Always an option for every position.

Tjäderborg (36975226), 29 years, PF/C, 123 TSP (+6). Highest ID and IS of the NT. His offense still gets training.

Danielsson (37787598), 28 years, C, 109 TSP (+0). Capped, but valueable.

Johansson (37787040), 27 years, 130 TSP (+5). He moves with big steps towards the starters. His guardskills are outstanding!

Tunglund (38588455), 26 years, G, 120 TSP (+6). One of the guys who could make it to the team during this season. His training progress is great.

Gustavsson (38588303), 26 years, G, 123 TSP (+5). One of our sharpshooters. But the same problem as Smol: they don't score as efficient as Säfen. I hope with the further training, he will get his edge.

Martinsson (39342531), 25 years, G, 122 TSP (+5). He already joined the team during the last weeks. Great training, strong skills!

Höstner (39342611), 25 years, SF, 119 TSP (+5). He moves near the NT and has a valid claim to the SF position.

Ahlhult (39342633), 25 years, SG, 111 TSP (+7). Another guard who gives us a very deap outside game. Had a great season in Utopia.

Hammarstrand (36975203), 28 years, C, 119 TSP (+3). The swedish wall. When he blocks, it's like a hammar strike ;)

Molen (40186543), 24 years, G, 115 TSP (+7). Moving forward with great steps. 1-2 seasons and he will be on the NT level.

Svensson (35350361), 30 years, PF/C, 113 TSP (+3). Balanced C with no weakness.

Falborn, (40186795), 24 years, 106 TSP (+7). He needs a clear main skillset.

Klangbeck, (40186451), 24 years, G, TSP 95 (+3). With so many other guards, it will be hard without continious training.

Hagelell, (41772275), 23 years, TSP 102 (+8). Completely balanced. A SF/PF type of player.

There are two U21 guards who are not far behind this list. I think they will join the others after their U21 campaign in one season ;)

That was my quote. I was wrong. There are three guards:

Haraldsson, (41772348), 22 years, TSP 99. No other player has currently a higher TSP with his age. High potential, fantastic training from his manager and a lot to expect.

Fjelmar, (41772261), 22 years, TSP 98. Same goes for him.

Rengren, (41772140), 22 years, TSP 92. And the third pot 10 guard. These three could create a freaking guard rotation in a couple of seasons...

Feel free to give tip on how to make Linddhult to a national team player (in lack of alternatives as SF then as he never will be able to compete as inside player) despite his poor potential (Superstar).

His biggest hindrance is OD. With his height you will have to train it for a long time. Our current SFs have all OD 15+.
But the inside skills are already on a good way for a inside SF. If you want to try it and train him towards the NT, you have to focus on OD, DR, IS and ID.
ID will be trained with OD. So if you go for OD, your ID will get 2-3 ups until your reach OD 15.
IS gets ups during 1on1 Forwards, so you could combine it with the DR training. And PA is for free... This would be a finishing touch.

According to buzzer manager, OD 15, ID 18 and IS 16/DR16 would be possible. This brings him exactly to 100%. He wouldn't be the first Pot 8 to make it. Hammarstrand is currently a part of the NT, despite his "low" potential.

Thank you for the information! Wedling was also Superstar (also my own product) so I know that the potential can be sufficient to make it. At that time you were not pushing much for OD. I will take a thought about if it is worth for me to focus that much on OD because it might hurt my other players too much. Not having much of players to focus on right now though ...
