Not as impressive as Joey Ka, but my USA team is up to ranked 267 in the world using only homegrown players. (Will be quickly falling now though )

And my Utopia team just made it back to D1 again using homegrown players. (With an under 7000 seat arena and no day trading either!) But it'll be a bloodbath this upcoming season. I think i was $300,000 under the salary floor last time.

Let me share with you my games of the last two weeks:

QF: 135-131 win in OT (120734155)
My best player scored 63 points. Fun fact: When MJ scored 63 the Bulls lost 131-135 in double OT.

SF: 124-121 win (120778873)
Lyle (the 63-points guy) got injured in the first minute of the game. My 10k backup took over and secured the close win.

Game 1: 94-113 loss (120827328)
I had to stick to my training plan, so I put my rookie C in the starting lineup.

Game 2: 100-98 win (120827329)
Another very close one...

Game 3: 126-137 loss in DOUBLE OVERTIME (120827330)
A wild ending to a wild playoff run. My starting C had 4 fouls in the first quarter and fouled out in the first OT. I had two chances to win the game on a buzzerbeater, only to lose by 11 in the second OT.

I might have to see a cardiologist after these crazy playoffs. ^^ Luckily, I was able to draft this guy: (51213756) So I guess it's still a successful season for this homegrown team

I got promoted to Bosnia & Herzegovina First league with my homegrown team.

I expect to fight bravely against relegation, since I'm 150 k below salary floor. I'm second to last in player salaries (not for long I expect since that other team can buy players while I won't), but I'm second overall in salaries for players 6-10. Let's see will my approach with spread out talent work on highest level. I guess I'll steal a game here and there since I will be the easiest opponent so no one should put their best lineups against me.

For the first time in a lot of seasons I'm total underdog. Should be fun :D

It turns out that game 3 of the finals boosted me up to ranked 244 in the world / 8th in the USA. Just want to record this somewhere before the big tumble begins in 5 hours or so!

Very very interesting draw for the 3rd round of BBM Tier 2. Clash of two 2-0 homegrown teams - Espoo Seals (Finland) vs. Heywood Big Dogs (Australia). I would imagine this is one of the highest level homegrown matchups ever in an official game.

Good luck for the game and may the best homegrown team win!

Good pick up! Looking forward to it. This season nearly broke me as a home grown - the guy I’ve built my team around is fading but still stoning me financially - hopefully I can get through this season then I should be fine.

Little bit similar situation here. I built very defensive squad around my now 38yo offensive player so he hasn't been of any help for few seasons now. I have good young trainees that can fill his shoes pretty nicely now but it's a fight against time since financially I will need to promote in few seasons but I'm still in relegation battles.

In league games it's sometimes rough since you have to focus more on training but in BBM the squad is performing very well. Two times 4-3, one 5-2 and one 6-1 so far during the 4 seasons so no losing record in Tier 2 yet, and this season has had a good start too with 2-0. Really excited to see how this match goes!
