Clearly Perpete didn't mean that 30,000 people looked at the forum and though ''Man... this is a really negative place. I can't deal with a game where the users aren't 100% content!'' and then quit because of it.

The idea is that the mindset around the entire site seems to be increasingly focused on ''What's wrong with BB?''.

Yes. It's not perfect. No there doesn't seem to be a large response from the BB's side of things (in my opinion, a new BB or two for PR and fixing the smaller things would go a long way... Marin seems overwhelmed.) But you know what? I like the game despite it's flaws! It's freaking fun. I love debating between trying to figure out a strategy that will bet the LI teams despite the slant or else giving in and trying to find the most cash efficient way to run the LI system. I like the imperfections and the quirks of the game. If I wanted a perfectly realistic basketball game I'd go coach little league.

When we start to love BB, advertise and explain it better to new people then I think the user problem will balance out.

I like this game to be difficult, the harder the better. But at the same time, I understand how boring must be for people starting in this game to be told to wait for like 5 seasons to build your arena and start training a few players. On top of that, the learning curve is steep because some aspects of this game only make sense in the BB world (training, GS, etc.), so you have to study how things work here.
I propose to give new managers an arena double the size of the current starting arena. That's a gift of $1350000.
They also need a team with better starting players, so they can try to be competitive in the lowest league. And three trainees that are not great but worth of receiving training.
Putting new players in the same league could also help because it's not fun to play against bots or teams much better than you.
At last but not least, a good tutorial where you get money every time you complete some basic of the game, so you are encourage to learn by doing and keep coming back. Let's face it, the rules are too long to read for most people.
I think with these measures we can drop the quit rate of newcomers.
Utopia would be left out of these changes.

No he's not, but he makes a very good and accurate point, so I don't know why you are trying to start something. Whether it is warranted or not, if new users see threads such as this one, they are less likely to stay. You cannot argue that. I think these threads are generally a positive thing, but to have so many of them dominate these forums, is not attractive to new users, in my opinion. I agree with you that BB has flaws and discussions about them are good though.

An official once said that a huge percentage of users don't find/use the forums at all...

...so please don't abuse that myth...

I think we might be over those usual 10 suspects and officially treading uncharted waters, now XD
