Well,
I can only share my experience from my championship run when I won our Div I. and in that season with my team my highest RB was 14 and then pretty much 8-9 with the other players.
I already mentioned a few posts back that I managed to won my Div I league with a "low budget team" and it was a kind of experimentation as well, because many managers were sceptic.
My team salary was 100k less then the average of my league and I finished 20-2 with best defense, best FG%, best in pretty much every category, except RB which was a big observation/feedback that I did not need to achieve this.
AS mentioned earlier I had a tailored made team where salary was one of the primary consideration.
I did not have 150 or even 100+k salary players. My highest was 98k then all the rest around and in between 70-35.
It was a great experience and showed me that you do not need "everything" to be able to win.
So all in all from my side, based on my experience I was happy to sacrifice RB and it turned out that it was not a problem at all.
