The new season starts tomorrow and the core of the team is nominated.

The first to games:
We will play against the U.A.E and Greece. The first game is away and the second one at home. Unfortunately we have a pretty uncomfortable opponent: Greece. The last scrimmage was a victory but I don't think that Greece will be alright with loosing again ;)

The team:
Guards:

Martinsson
Akersten
Claesson

Forwards:
Sommarborg
Tunggard
Tuikkala
Tjädermo
Everland
Svensson

Center:
Sandbom
Widerström
Öby
Gijon

possible Back ups:
Mazzolini (still injured, with a high game shape he will be back as soon as possible)
Molner (on the TL)
Fredriksson (if he receives the right training)
Forslund (depends on his training and game shape)
Birgersson (one of the two future superstars, could be a player for the last part of the season)
Wedling (depends on the amount of skill ups)
Säfen (the other future superstar who could already rise to a spot at the end of the season)

I'm still missing a lot of replies for players, so maybe there will be some more possible back ups.

The main target for this season is to get with the highest possible enthusiasm to the next round. It doesn't really matter if we go with a 8:0 or a 6:2 to the KOs. The most important thing is to reach the KOs and have a team with a high enth. and strong game shape.

It depends on his training. Unfortunately there is a bottleneck at the guard pool. In my opinion there are the least players currently...

I will give Wedling best possible training and hopefully he can improve to a spot in the team.

Despite winning by 25 points against the UAE, we lost 2.7 points in the WR. This shows now that we reached a point were victories will be less valueable against weaker teams. But what a luck, we will play against Greece next week *attention: sarcasm*.
Yesterdays game wasn't our best one. The defense was weak and espescially the second half was just "bringing the points home". But that's not a big surprise with this enthusiasm and game shape.
The good things were that all twelve players played and scored. I really hope, that we will have a better game shape next monday. Against Greece it will be much more difficult.

Currently I'm not at my notebook so I cannot take a detailed look at the situation. The game against Greece was decided during the final seconds due to stop the clock. The next games aren't that great either. We ended up with some nasty opponents. More during the next days.

There is no difference in WR to last week.
And starting from tomorrow we will play against the other six teams. We are very... unlucky. Compaired to the other teams we get a handful of strong opponents and almost every of these teams can beat us -.-

Game 3: @ Peru (WR 46):
Peru has a very strong frontcourt. Their bigs can hurt a lot of teams and they are in a very good game shape for tomorrow.

Game 4: vs. South Korea (WR 70):
On paper the easiest opponent and thanks to our home court advantage this should be a clear victory.

Game 5: @ Iran (WR 21):
Another inside force. Iran's bigs are an impressive wall of 190k+ players. With the advantage of home court, they will be a very hard nut to crack.

Game 6: vs. Hong Kong (WR 22):
One of the strongest asian teams and a very balanced roster.

Game 7: vs. Slovenia (WR 19):
The guys who took our second spot in the group last season. So we have somthing to discuss here...

Game 8: @ Russia (WR 29):
And the next better placed team. Russia has a balanced roster, like Hong Kong. They are one of our main opponents for a better place in Europe and this could be a "all-or-nothing" game for us.

Like you can see, we have four opponents who are higher ranked and with Peru a team which is behind us, but who is really dangerous. My target hasn't changed: I want to proceed to the k.o. round. Now it's just a harder way but the current situation in BB has changed. Almost everyone can beat everyone and there will be some teams with a 5:3 rating who will advance to the next round.
Let's just hope that we can play this season without further injuries and that the game shape will rise.

The good news: we won against Peru. The bad news: Germany destroyed Bosnia and received 11 points for their victory. This means they surpassed us and we are 17th now -.- And if I look at our and their schedule... they will moce further forward.
The two main issues for this season are: staying in the Top 18 of Europe and finishing the first round of the consolidation cup as one of the first 32 teams.

About the game from last night. We had three main scorer with Martinsson, Tunggard and Sandbom. The rest of the team was a supporting package. Unfortunately nothing more, luckily nothing less. Peru has some strong bigs and it was good, that I countered it with three bigs from our side. It was a hard fight and I expected some more of these games this season. So hopefully the players stay healthy and the game shape will be as high as possible. One player can change the cours of the game and decide betwenn victory and defeat.

We had a high win last night and we gained 11,5 points. With this we are 15th now! And we are only 14 points behind Switzerland, who is the nearest team from group 2.
That's for the good news. Now for the bad ones.
Our next four games are against teams which are some places in front of us or behind us. Every game will be extremly difficult to win and we need at least two wins out of these four games for a possibility to promote to the next round.
I really hope that we can maintain our high game shape and raise it even higher (some players are pretty low).

The game against South Korea:
Sandbom played a perfect game! His current performance is outstanding. Really great work from his manager.
Yesterday he had some help from Sommarborg and Tjädermo. Both were en pair with him. Our guards and forwards had a weaker day, but compaired to the first three guys, every guard would look pale ;)
