So far, it seems like the increase is somewhat high. From what I've seen in forums, it seems the 500k upgrade gave around a 8-10k boost with the 4mil upgrade giving around 20-25k. It's a surprise, the 2nd lowest upgrade isn't that bad and the highest upgrade is gonna take years just to break even.

For me, I think I'll rather avoid the 200k upgrade and 4mil upgrade (too cheap and too pricey), so I'll aim for the 500k, 1mil or 2mil. I think the 1mil choice is probably the best, but I might aim for the 2mil, since it has a nice design.

On another note, it seems you can't upgrade the arena design. So, it's best to just do it once, so you won't have to pay extra cash.

Hmm, though I have to wonder, is that possibly a good thing? Playoff teams like Mayne, Vancouver Blackfish and Greek Freak 34 are in the top half of the draft, ranked #7-#9...That's pretty good, considering there's 2 bots. (I got screwed last season, missing out on two 5* potential prospects, while making the playoffs...so the low wins might be good.)

Surely, the Big 8 top teams will rise once they go against their own conference, but I'm more concerned about our conference. The playoff teams in our conference should be close to a lock, but it's pretty close with the difference between first seed and fourth seed being two wins. Next Tuesday games should play a huge factor in playoff seeding.

The draft is a crap shoot. You could lose every game and blow all your scouting points and still only get a mediocre pick (which will then take a long time to train up to Div II standards). Some drafts just don't have any really good prospects. It's also fairly difficult to be competitive while training a young u21 prospect. I don't think having a losing record is ever really a good thing unless you are completely tanking to save money or demote.

Winning will ensure you put butts in the seats and therefor make more money to spend on good players or prospects (as long as you budget your team properly, something I am struggling with).

Great 8 is definitely gonna be a fun conference to participate in winding down the season. All of the top 4 teams have a chance to win against each other depending on what strategies and line-ups are picked. I'm not sure I'm wanting to promote this season, but we'll see what happens.

I would have to agree with your claim, most of the time. I missed out on a huge prospect last season. Looking at the draft, it was a 5.6k HOF, who is talented enough and has a high potential. Looking at the draft board, I don't think I'm the only one who missed out on him. Alert Polar Bears got him at 5th seed in our conference. Late in the season, I lost a few games to fall to 4th, but not close enough to get him.

Winning does solve everything, but I truly believed that player was a generational talent. Too bad though. But I do agree that the draft is usually a crap shoot, the two drafts before last season was terrible.

Yep, it's going to be an interesting season. I might make a few changes with my team, but I'm definitely excited.

Good game, well played.

On another note, wow, the game between Pugs and Dixie was really close. A huge game that further pushed Dixie towards the top seed for the conference.

Yeah, I've got home court advantage in the playoffs which could be the difference. However the games will be close, I have a warm up game against you and Calgary Spitfires as well. :)
