I am not against some controll, but i wouldnt think it is correct to shoot in "good" players, just because there arent many around - shoot in good trainees, imo.

The current system is doing both. In the sense that good players are drafted each season, not that high-potential players are listed

However, providing a trainee with good potential doesn't provide you with a good player. Potential only matters if a player reaches it. And even if he does, it's not instantaneous. As I mentioned, it takes multiple seasons.

you already had a limited set of points to assign to a player, it was simply dictated by the amount of time you have to train that player.

So most of the top players now have 85-95 points distributed amongst their skills at the moment.... (inc. stamina/ft)

Will reaching the top prevent us to train the Stamina/FT too? and I assume (not expecting an answer - but interested on other opinions) that the point cap for Allstar is pretty much there?

with the information I gathered on the forum it looks like the soft caps works on wages.

When training FT wages will also raise, but not that much (I've been training FT for a while and am confident this is true).
But, when the cap is reached FT training will probably also be affected, since it would raise the wage as well as the other skills, even though the raise would be much smaller.

I don't know about stamina. Anyone knows if this affects wages? I'd say no, but am not sure...

EDIT: I also think that the All Star cap will be good above 10 k wages, possibly much more. It would not help BB if many players that where already in the system would have almost reached the cap. So I wouldn't worry about the players that already existed, I think they can get a prety decent amount of training still. It's the new players with lower potentials that we should keep an eye on.

Very small effect. Almost all of my players got 2 pops in stamina and 1 in FT this season, their salary barely increased, apart from the trainees of course.

well, some of my guys turned from (8) to (11) on FT, and only had a few hundred in wage-raise. Should it have been inside defense for example, I estimate they would increase at least 1000, probably more. Or do I have an out of proportions-look on this, onyone had other experiences?

EDIT: I wrote it carefully, since we know FT training posp a player every 2 weeks, and I have been training FT the whole part 2 of the season (since the all star break) so 3 pops is what they surely had, some might even have had 4 pops before the salary update...
Since any other skill (stamina not included) can raise 2 full levels in half a season (from 1 wages update to the next) I think it is clear that if players who raise from 6k salary to 8k salary (rounded) , the FT skillgain does not so much affect wages than other skills would...

ok.true.i agree
but what if you are training inside players like me and you want to boost for example your OD.
you buy the player with limited skils-low potencial and you need a twice as much weeks to boost his skill.
what about loosing weeks of praktice?
does no one does something like this -by this i mean praktice an outside players whan mostly training inside players

i think it would be a good strategy is

if your training inside then concentrate on inside, buy pg,sg or sf players that are already ripe or someone who's skills you can be dependent on and can insert him anytime in your lineup to play.

because if you trainb like that you get affected so much now unless your looking for a long term program with future results.

because your wasting not just time but also other players potential to grow and be better.
