As a tribute to the iconic career of Romano Ammeter (272976.1), the highest-paid PG on BuzzerBeater for so many seasons, I thought I'd put together lists for the most expensive players in season 32 (both senior and U21).

Alongside Romano's retirement, I find it fitting to also retire the eligibility of players on bot teams to be on these lists. Therefore, all players listed on the posts below are part of teams controlled by humans (or some other kind of natural intelligence).

Wow...neither Finish SG/SF high salary guys are on the NT.
TSPissues? GS issues? Bad coach?

Both Finnish players were sold just over 2 weeks ago <- gs drop.
Both have been playing all too much -> gs issues <- bad minute management by owners!

It's worth to note that the main reason why some players among the most expensive in the game are not part of their NT might not be bad playing time management nor are said players unwanted by experienced managers exclusively because of their high salaries or because of bad game shape mid-season. There are high-paid players that are overtrained in the skill(s) that have the biggest impact on salary for their respective position. That might lead to other very relevant skills (even more relevant level-wise than the overtrained ones in most cases) being at underwhelming levels even for high-level division matchups against players with way lower salaries. The amount of players with that kind of profile used to be higher in the past, and has been decreasing majorly, but many of them still exist. This kind of player might still be in a NT roster, though, due to either lack of quality players available (in the case of small BB countries) or just by debatable choice.

There's also the cases in which players are all-around decently trained but still have the most expensive skill(s) trained to a point where, given the same salary, a different skill distribution could have a higher impact on court in most matchups and thus would make those players more attractive to a higher number of managers. These players should still be eyed by most NTs, but not really by managers that aim to conciliate on-court success with a positive financial balance.

I don't know the skills of the majority of the players on the top 10s by position, but, when trying to translate "salary" to "effectiveness", I'd say that the PF list is likely to be the most precise one. However, some of them probably still have overkill JS and/or undertrained OD and Passing for the most frequent matchups at NT level. The SG list is probably the one consisting of the least effective players/salary at any level.

Regarding Franković, he is just way too expensive for any team that's not going all-out to try to win. Personally, for conventional big men, pretty much none with a weekly salary above $ 140,000 should be considered as an option in any team that's both economically healthy and successful.
